SciFi just announced that they are picking up Battlestar Galactica for a third season.

Only halfway into the second season and it's getting a third!

How will Roslin's detereorating condition fare with the continued travels of the fleet, how will the fleet proceed once they get into the right part of the Galaxy as Earth (since all they really got was that it was within view of a specific nebula), and what the stars above the planet look like. How will the fleet deal with ammunition over time (water and fuel have already been addressed, giving them years of each), since they use so much ammo in each episode, and they are already having Viper shortages (hence the building of the prototype Blackbird stealth fighter "Laura").

New Galactica is succeeding in ways old could only imagine.

SciFi is kind of strange with their scheduling. They split their season around the main networks' seasons. So we will see the second half of S2 next year. This is for a full 3rd season after that.

Great to hear. I have a feeling the S2 finale will involve Pres. Roslin's death. Which will have some important ramifications for the show.
