Gambado?

My girlfriend is interested in running the old avdenture included in the 2e Grey FR Boxed Set. The adventure is in the book entitled "Shadowdale" and involves the Drow underneath the city.

Now heres our problem. The first monster encountered is something called a Gambado. Its an animal that looks like (or possibly hides inside) of a skull, and leaps at close passerbys. I could have sworn I had seen a 3e version, either in MMII or MoF, but neither of those sources had it.

Anyone have a conversion, or the book that has the official one?
