And can I say, for the record, how happy I would be if we could get Bob, Craig, Allen and Chris playing with the group again regularly. And Mark involved at all?

Has anyone spoken to Allen recently? Is he even in town?

In case you are wondering, John, this is Mark. Yes. I will be playing. I would guess that Chris is a definite and that Bob is a definite "maybe". ;)

By what criteria would I choose them? Based on attendence?
Leave it to the professor to count attendance. You should have told us that attendance would be counted when you handed out the syllabus at the start of the campaign!

Iron Heroes - makes Fighters and so forth the equal of wizards even at high levels. Super-Hero like fighting styles. Want to fight like the Jedi fight? This game. Drawback? Even more combat rules than D20. Very rule intensive. A rules-lawyers dream. Book purchase necessary because of the sheer volume of new rules.

I've been playing Iron Heroes for a good while now and the system is surprisingly easy to learn and you can mold your rules knowledge from d20 to it rather quickly. Just FYI. It's a really neat system. I already have the book and a printed PDF of the book. I also own the PDF and can print as many copies as necessary.

Of course, if superheroes wins, as it looks like it might, I won't be playing!

Here's my thought on that. I say we take the top 3 or 4 winners, have another poll and you only get one choice. Your "final answer" if you will. Let's give it the weekend and post a poll on Monday.

If it came down to what I'm suggesting above, I would most likely make my final vote one of the Inzeladun's just so you could play.

Well, vote what you want to play. You don't have to worry about me not being able to play, as it is my own decision that keeps me from it. It is not my intention to cast a shadow over the votes. Everyone vote what you want to play. If I don't play superheroes... well, I ain't missing anything I don't want to play anyway, right? ;) Still, thanks for the thought!

Well, I assumed we would be looking at the top few choices as campaigns to play in the coming year. I certainly didn't think it was THE ONLY game we were going to play in the coming year. It seems to me that RPG campaigns work in natural highs and lows. When we reach a good breaking point, we could switch to another genre/system for a few sessions. Keep it fresh and all.

I really enjoyed Conan. But I wouldn't want to be on a desert island where that is the only game I can play for the next year.
