Gamer Terms/Jargon that Needs to Change

Anyone who takes issue with "Master" is too immature to play at my table.

I'm beginning to think that some of the terms and jargon we use in our games is dated, makes people devalue other participants, or is just plain confusing.
Not dated but...

Bloodied - because bloodied [meta-game] is not necessarily bloodied [in-game] and does not reconcile with the 'current' concept of 'hit points'. This may be a tiny detail, but the sum total of such details can be confusing for newbies and older edition players.

Admittedly, however, I don't have an alternative label for 'bloodied'.

Which leads to me to...

Hit points - technically, you don't even have to be hit to have your hit points reduced in 4E. So maybe Soul or Energy or something. But Death Points really is the most accurate term, because when you reach your Death Points, you are dead. Sounds a bit negative, but hey, it's the correct term for measuring your buffer zone from death. Alternatively, Life points if you don't want to come across as a morbid glass half-empty kinda game system. Either way, instead of 'bloodied', use 'half-life' which can be deciphered as bloodied, or winded, or whatever.

As I asked before 4e even hit the shelves, why does this condition even need a name? Convenience, I guess.

Because, "That condition which triggers any number of other things..." is a bit too long, and TCWTANOOT is an awkward acronym to pronounce?

"You hit him again, and now he's... ticwitanoot"? Doesn't have much of a ring to it, you know?
