[Gamer's Bag] GenCon Products List Updated

Here's some "novelty item" ideas to decorate your booth...

- You ever seen those "yard of popcorn" bags they sell at fairs? 'nuf said...

- I know I've seen oversized dice made out of some sort of foam material, wit a diameter of several inches. A dicebag to match would look quite cool for your booth.

Great ideas! We're going to try to incorporate as many as we can.

We talked to GenCon and found out we can't legally put "GenCon 2003" on the bags because we're not a sponsor (you don't want to know how much it costs to be a sponsor:eek: )

shouit - the pictures are working, I don't know what was wrong. Try again, and if it doesn't work - I'll e-mail you the photo, it's not a big file.

Keep the ideas coming folks, if it's feasible and you'd like to see it - we'll do it. :D

d20 Logo + other ideas

d20 Dicebag:
Barendd Nobeard suggested lining the bag with the OGL. I thought of the same thing. I think it's a good idea.

Another Idea: Since many of the d20 companies are around.. Why not checkwith them.

An 'Iron Kingdoms' or 'Freeport' or 'Scarred Lands' logo on a bag would be cool. Check with the companies that produce those products for permission.

or a "Portable Hole Full of Beer (strike thru) Dice"

(I couldn't get the font to strike through the word beer)

Once again... Many of these are now Icons of the business and personally, I'd buy both the 'Portable Hole' and the 'Iron Kingdoms' bags. You could continue to offer those on your website too.

Another idea:
A really simple white bag with a sharpie pen. The buyer then canvases the Con for autographs to cover the bag.

I hope these are useful.

We will attempt to contact them, we've already contacted a couple, but hadn't thought of asking them all or doing specific products.

This is a GREAT idea!! Consider it done. :D We'll put a pen loop on it too. We can offer the bag, pen loop and colored Sharpie as a package. Now, what size would be better, Royal or Medium? (The only ones big enough for pencil loops and autographs for that matter.) The Medium might be better since it's a flat bag and the Royal is rounded...

I'll be looking for you!!

The new hall is so much larger than the old one, I can hope it will not be as crowded. If your booth is small you do need to make it eye-catching so it is not overwhelmed by the booths around it and so folks can find it again when they want to drag their friends back to show them the cool stuff. To paraphrase The Keeper: The GenCon Dealer’s room is Darwinism in action!

Bring reams of order forms and find out where the nearest copy shop is before you need it.

Is there any way to make a bag that has another, say ¼ size bag inside it? I play a sorcerer and I use those little colored stones to keep track of my spells per day. Right now my options are two completely separate bags, or dumping the stones in with the dice and picking them out at the start of each game session. Having a “secret pouch” inside my dice bag would be very cool.

i want a bag of rats for my whirlwind, great cleave fighter type.

OK, this would actually be a hysterical novelty gift idea. One of your regular dice bags, with the words, "Bag O' Rats" on the front, and filled with little plastic rats. A must for any munchkin (or anyone who hates munchkins)!:D

We've got a couple of eye-catcher ideas, and we'll need them - our booth will be 10'x10'.

We were wondering about how many we need to bring. We're targeting 4,000 bags for the show...now to figure out how many custom forms...

We can do that, no problem. Click the blue E-mail button below and we can talk. :D

I would stick with a flat bag and definitely sell as a package with the pen loop and pen. If the medium doesn't look like it will hold many autographs, consider a custom size just for the show using the same medium pattern you have.

On the d20 Companies:
If you get permission to make 'Scarred Lands', 'Freeport' or 'Portable Hole Full of Beer, this product contains no alcohol.' bags and if they have a booth, consider giving them bags for free to have at their booth with a couple of your cards and your booth location. They can then keep the bags. Basically showcasing your product in more places at the convention.

Hope this helps.
