Gaming Group Turns 21! (OT)

Surprisingly no, because each player has between 4 and 10 different characters who they alternate from module to module. Of the original four characters the druid Serita is 12th level (the highest level character of the entire group), the fighter Narg is 9th, the cleric Timothy is 7th and the magic-user Kharole is 7th.

Heh, I just wanted to clarify...I wasn't trying to make fun of your group...I was trying to make fun of how slow Barbarian's level.

*grins*

You guys sound like you have a great group though...

Wow, what a loaded question! I'd say the highlight of our gaming group's history would be my wife's wedding & mine. While not actually part of a game, our rocky courtship probably wouldn't have survived without the weekly gaming group. Most of the group was also in the wedding party. 14 years and 3 children later I would say it has been a success.

I heartily agree with your assessment, and appreciate you humoring with with such a thorough response. Thanks! In return, I promise to check out the referenced link very soon.

Congrats. You have now officially gamed together two years longer than I've been alive. Don't you just feel old. :D
There are days that I feel positively ancient, but I am happy to say that I have a close circle of friends for both the fun of the game and socializing.

One other "highlight" I didn't mention before happened at a game last December. The father of one of our players had recently died, and, while nothing specific was said, it became obvious to the group within the first few minutes that he really needed to talk rather than play. So we just skipped the game for the rest of the night, supporting our friend through conversation instead. I consider that one of our finest hours.

My Dungeons and Dragons group had its first game on May 24, 1982, so today is it's 21st Anniversary. Tomorrow we begin our 22nd year with Game #862. Four of the founding players and four of the original playing characters are still active in the campaign.

Wow, that's some milestone, Silver Moon! Congrats!

Question: Did you guys have a celebration bash with cake and drinks?

Good gaming!

Congrats on the continuation of the merriment and comradery that has been displayed.

May your group remain strong for another 21 years (and then some!) ! :)

Yes, we did have cake at the game last night, but the drinks were limited to the usual assortment of sodas (the current favorite being Vanilla Coke), as I've yet to see a successful blending of AD&D and alcoholic beverages.

Thanks all for the kind words. I generally avoid starting OT threads, but couldn't resist this time.
