Gaming W/Jemal: Legends (3.5e d&D) *Recruitment Closed*

*wipes brow* Jemal i stayed until 8 am to finish this before the fight :) Now, Sila is not completely done mind you, i still want to purchase some healing aids, mundane things like clothes, paper etc. and also i have to do the weight.

But, spells, high arcana, prepared spells are all done, as are all the important magical items for the battle. Let me know if i have messed anything up. (BTW, how does caster level 29 for a fire spell sound? This was never intended to be an optimised build, but it seems that she will be able to singe some fluffy Drow buttocks :D)

Myth:
CL 29 sounds impressive, but I don't see how you got it.
Your base Caster level from classes is 18 (5 from wizard, 8 from elemental savant, 5 from archmage). Your Orange Prism Ioun Stone increases that to 19. Elemental Savant gives you +4 to your CL check to beat SR, but doesn't affect your actual caster level, and likewise with the +2 from the robes of the Archmagi. That gives you a Caster level of 19, with a +25 check to beat SR. What else am I missing? Are you including buffs?

Also the only high arcana you have listed that I could see is Mastery of Shaping.

Perhaps if you included a section for your class abilities like you did for your sun elf and outsider traits, it would be easier to find.

As to spells:
I'm gonna have to say no to Combust. I understand it fits with the fire mage thing, but 10d8 no save no attack roll for a second level spell is a bit much.

I should also point out that some of your spells (notably Stoneskin, Ruby Ray of Reversal, Howling Chain, and Ironguard) have costly material components or foci that you do not have listed in your equipment.

*Note: I have only gone over your prepared spells, I'll have to go over the others later.*

Last nitpick: You've got your pearls of power a bit mixed up. They aren't keyed to a specific spell, they're keyed to a spell level, and when you use them (They can be used once per day), they let you recall any one spell that you had prepared and cast that day.

As far as the little details you mentioned having to finish, they should be ok, provided you don't change anything DURING combat.

Everyone:
During combat I'll need an Sblock at the end of each of your posts deatiling the following:
HP, AC, Immunities/Resistances, Saves.

I would also like to know everybody's special senses (Blindsense/darkvision, See Invis, Arcane sight, etc).

Casters:
I also need any spellcasters to give me a list of their daily buffs.
Daily buffs are those that are permanent, last 1 hour/lvl or more, OR 10min/lvl spells that you will recast automatically anytime it's duration runs out (Meaning you have to 'set aside' enough slots at the begining of each day to do so, and cannot use those slots for other spells).

IE: Mage armour is 1hr/lvl, so it's a daily buff.
See Invis is only 10 min/lvl, so unless it's permanent you'd need to set aside enough 2nd level spell slots to cast it 6 times/day(Essentially making it 1hr/lvl)

If it's not on your list of "daily buffs", you have to specifically state in the IC thread that you are casting it, and once it runs out I will assume you do not recast it.

Normally I'd be ok with keeping track of much of this myself, but with 10 PC's in an epic campaign that's a lotta stuff to remember. I'll try to keep track of it until you guys can get on it, but try to remember to post all your 'combat info' whenever there's imminent combat.

Uh well sorry :) I might have misread the descriptions. Still, overcoming SR is what i meant when i gave the example with the Drow: +1 stone makes the base 19. + 3 from Spell Power (and i have listed that, you can see it subtracting 3 lvl 5 spells, also it's under Archmage, i will make it more apparent). So unless i misread my base (with 3 x Spell Power high arcana) is 22. Now to overcome SR i add + 2 for the robe, + 4 for fire based spells due to ES PRC. So Base is 22, 24 for regualrs spells vs SR, 28 for Fire spells.. Sorry i was so sleepy i did the math wrong (i hate math anyway):

Caster Level: 18 + 3 (Spell Power) + 1 (Ioun stone) + 2 (robe) + 4 (Energy Penetration: Fire) = 22(base)/24(vs SR only)/28(Fire vs SR)

I hope that is correct now?

For High Arcana i have picked up 1 x mastery of shaping, 1 x Spell-Like ability for Meteor Swarm, and 3 x Spell Power to gain +3 caster level. If you need that moved from the level progression tab to somewhere more apparent i will do so.

Will remove Combust and replace it wtih something else.

Will factor in material costs for these spells.

Noted on the pearls, I will probably replace the level 7 pearl with 3 x level 5 ones or something. Let me know if it is ok to edit all of this in my char sheet (i don't want to modify it without you allowing it) Oh, and thanks for the patience Jemal :) It is my first time RPing for real, and lvl 20 is hard to master...

Myth - No Problem, and don't forget to look through your spells while you're at it and figure out which ones are your 'daily' buffs.

Voidrazor - I just noticed you edited part of your new character into the Rogue's Gallery. I haven't gone over it yet, but what did catch my eye was your bloodline. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to say No to War, for reasons which will be quiet obvious as soon as I post the IC update (Which should be fairly soon if certain circumstances work out correctly).

alrighty... wondering where the Fire came from back by Sebastion?.... did someone on our side cast that or them.. I'm slightly confused.... Arineil would not know what kind of spell that caused it but I'd assume she'd know if it was friendly magics or enemy maybe?

EDIT: Also... just because it's been so long sense I've played a higher level character... you CAN take a 5 foot step and still get a full round attack yes?

that would be the campfire you guys had been gathered around when the prophet had his vision, which some people haven't moved from.

and yes you can.

pretty sure though once Sigil goes and Rho gets to go.. my 5 foot step question will be moot LOL.... Nothing good can come of this hehe

Humph, my character gets attacked first :) So then, when the time comes i will post my actions (it's not now is it?). I am so damn sorry i did not pack a Disjucntion spell.... :D

*cringes at the mention of that spell* I'm fully aware Jemal placed restrictions on that spell... but just the thought of what it has done to some of my characters in past games both here and table top is enough to make me lothe that spell for an eternity heh....

Yes but dispelling the bajillion buffs on that half dragon guy is still a priority now... And no, i don't think it's fair for them to come pre-buffed and attack us.
