Gaming W/Jemal: Legends (3.5e d&D) *Recruitment Closed*

RE: Wish/XP - As stated in the first post, when you guys level up your XP pool will replenish. You may use it for whatever you wish: Item creation, spell casting, or Bloodlines.

RE: Shapechange - Shapeshifting gives you the PHYSICAL stats of the creature you turn into (STR, DEX, CON). Read the Alter self/Polymorph/Shapechange spells for a complete description of what you gain/loose.

If your new form is capable of intelligible speech, you may cast spells that require verbal components. If your new form is capable of making the required hand gestures, you may cast spells that require Somatic components.

Shapechanging does not alter your HP, but it does have the normal polymorph heal (When you cast a polymorph or shapechange spell the first change heals you an amount of HP as though you had one day of rest, so 20 hp at this level).

RE: HD - you do not turn into an X HD version of the creature, you turn into any creature with UP TO X HD.

I do not suggest using Shapechange until/unless you've thoroughly read the polymorph and shapechange spells. I'm willing to answer specific questions, but there's a lot to know.

Salthorae - Mass Heal isn't centered on a square, it's any number of targets no two of which can be more than 30' apart, and all of whom have to be within close range of the caster (75' at your CL). You'll have to pick who's healed, following said guidelines.

Your completely right about the SR thing... we are only into day one of the campaign... the AC thing was an oversight.. I meant it to be 18... not 28.... then it carried over to future posts as I cut and pasted my specials from post to post when I meant to correct it... you're math skills humble mine my fine DM.. 20 is supposed to be my ac right now.....sorry about that....

Just a Quick Clarification Please: now you said I could con burn one con to use my bloodline.... am I able to do that once she drops to zero again?... if not with only 19 HP right now.. I need to know if I should make a strategic stage left exit.. if I CAN do it.. there's no reason I shouldn't just let Rho drop me to zero or below and con burn one con and keep on a'going heh...

On a side note.. the Ray of the Viper... that's one NASTY spell.. that just nulled my character by leaps a bounds..... that blows LOL.. I'd assume that the first round of which you speak where I can only attack once will count as my NEXT action in the battle.. not this current round yes?

You can't activate your bloodline while it's allready active. You're allready transformed, you can't transform further(Not yet anyways). The multiple transformations are for when you turn back to normal (most likely Due to end of combat) and then transform again later.

Otherwise it would make you nearly indestructible. Every 200 HP would instead convert into 1 con burn... with your con, that would give you the ability to take over 6000 damage in a single day (Granted it would take you weeks to recover, but that wouldn't be a bad price to pay for being nigh-immune to damage).

The reason you're taking so much damage is b/c of the AC penalty. Having some DR and a lot of HP is an OK defense, but if your AC's so low that your opponent pretty much can't miss anyways, it's not going to be enough. Especially when your opponent is the descendant of the bloodline of War; has been noted by the DM to be an overpowered twink character designed to take on an entire party; and whom is essentially fighting you one on one. (Sorry Roronoa, I know you're attacking him too, but when your attack rolls are hitting NEGATIVE AC's, that doesn't make you much of a threat beyond the buff you've allready provided).
If you want to survive/win, I have four possible suggestions.
A: Use the "Kill him before he kills me" tactic - all out attack and hope he drops.
B: "Exit stage left" as you put it - Retreat so he can't full round you again.
C: Don't give him the gigantic opening of "MY AC is lower than your attack bonus". Your party outnumbers his, the longer he takes to down one of his foes the better off you guys are.
D: Hope Chevik's mass heal targets you.
OR, E: some Combination of the above.

Of course since the entire party goes between him and you, there's a lot that could happen by the time its your turn again - hell, the combat might even be over before you get another turn. (Then again, it might not..)

As far as the nastiness of the two Rays of the Viper - Trust me when I say it was the lesser of two evils. (His other option was a pair of force orbs: 20d6 damage no SR vs 19 HP. I think that would've nulled a bit more ;) )

And yes, the way the ray works is you take the penalty on your first round after he casts the spell, and then each round after that you make a save to act normally(For one round)

Jemal - it's a little hard for me to tell with the "=" distance with diagonals and such. I think that I can get Chevik, Araneil, Sigil, Adamas, & Silverineil w/n in the "no 2 can be more than 30' apart"

Can you double check that for me? I would like to target as many people as possible, but from that group if I have to leave someone out of that group, then it will probably have to be Sigil since myself, Araneil, Adamas, and Silverineil are my main targets anyway and I think that the distance that might be too far is Araneil/Sigil...

Let me know how you count out the squares and I will update IC accordingly

Also - ishalleatyourflesh: I don't believe that the bear has Sabastian grapple anymore, I believe that he dropped him when he went unconscious, so if you benign transposition with him, then you will be standing right behind the bear not grapple (also true based on the map, the "s" is not in the bear's square anymore). Good flavor with you and the dragon though :)

Balls. Okay, my Epic Fail:

I have Weapon Supremacy which, oddly enough, allows me to full attack while being grappled without penalty. With that Bear's low AC that's 21 Attacks I just missed out on. Damn.

Anyway, Invisible Castle is down for me, so I can't roll.

I just realised something. for every spell that the Npcs cast Jemal posts a spell craft dc and then what it does. exept for the bear, so that means that the bear doesn't cast spells. so what gives someone the ability to change into a bear with out using a spell or spell like ability.

Anykind of Supernatural shapechange ability like...wild shape?

We don't know if the bear can cast spells or not since it's been feebleminded from like round 1 or so.

Also, did you see my post above? You don't need to benign transposition into a grapple as sabastian is no longer grapple according to the map and fact that the bear took a full attack action against Sigil's image, therefore can't be grappling people.

wow... that is pretty epic. We'd be eatting shapeshifter for dinner if you had made those attacks by now probably.

well next time you get grapple by a large bear...

Yeah I'm considering waltzing right over there again...

I feel sheepish.

Just because I'm a little masochistic that's +36/+36/+36/+36/+36/+36/+31/+31/+31/+31/+31/+31/+26/+26/+26/+26/+26/+26/+21/+21/+21 for 21d10+63d6+420 17-20x2 Crit damage that I just crapped out on. Obviously I'm a team player.
