The stone hits the ground with a crack of thunder, and Wade is separated from Ur by the force. He slams into the wall of force and slumps to the ground.
"Finally!" approves the dwarf, referring to his recently failed attempts at doing just that.

Mei Ying lowers her force shield, and Wade stands unsteaedely. "Apologies that you did not get more combat, but you'll have more than your fair share on this quest."
"So long as we win," shrugs Ur, but he's showing teeth as his 24 feet-tall form slowly rises out of the floor to tower over all present save the elemental. "You fought well yourself."

As the construct appears to be sincere in his surrender <I'm assuming?>, the bearded one matter-of-factly shrinks down to his usual size and reaches out to touch Gerard's arm first (and no surprise there). A look of concentration settles on his face.

OOC: Net effect= Gerard regains 157 HP, Ur takes 157 HP of damage, healing himself incrementally so he ends up at 48 HP. 41PP used and this takes about 30 seconds.

[Sblock=Rolls] Empathic Transfer = -5PP X 3, Ur transfers 10d10=64, 10d10=57, 6d10=36 = 157 HP.

Body Adjustment = -9PP X 3, Ur heals 5d12=38, 5d12=23, 4d12=32 = 93 HP[/sblock]

"Oh, right don't bother with the injures or at least don't waste resources. The next stop is the first aid room." Darian wanders over to where his little bar is and looks through it, taking a pull from a bottle. "We have a circle there that casts heal continuesly. In less of course something's life threatening that is." He looks over to Wade, "That wasn't quite as therapeutic as I thought it would be."He wanders over to the door and calls out, several workers rush in to assess the damage and others come in looking over the group a few have stretchers.

Looking at every one now pouring in Gerard says, "those stretchers are not needed." After Ur uses his mind powers, Gerard looks to be wholly healed.

That worthy lowers his hand (wincing a little as his body gets used to the newly transferred wounds). "Braham? Tutek?" he inquires as an aside, dark eyes offering the same if they want it.

He doesn't say anything about it, but they know him as well as he knows them: Tutek, Gerard, Braham, Mei Ying- They can all see the quiet triumph in the cast of his bearded lips, shared accomplishment and pride in the fiery gleam of his eyes, in the energy he now puts into every move he makes: Ur's family has triumphed again!

Mei-Ying watches everyone celebrate in their own way with typical reserve. She drifts towards D'Raven at one point and mentions, "A clever tactic you used. We shall have to practice timing in the future. I think trapping enemies in a dome with Tutek or Ur could be a very powerful technique."

She glances at the towering elemental and adds, "You may depart now."

Without comment, the colossal figure of stone, clay and dirt loses its cohesion and collapses into simply a pile with no shape or anima.

"Wade...where do we go from here?"

"So long as we win," shrugs Ur, but he's showing teeth as his 24 feet-tall form slowly rises out of the floor to tower over all present save the elemental. "You fought well yourself."
"I'm a bit rusty. A few millennia ago I would've whupped you handedly!" Though he sounds surly, his appearance and brief wink gives the feeling of camaraderie.

"Wade...where do we go from here?"
"Hmm, too bad.. I would've liked smushing that guy. Haven't fought an elemental in.. er.. what century is it?" He shrugs and turns to Mei Ying "Where from here? Well, now that I'm certain you guys can handle yourselves.." He bends down to pick up the stone, a compartment opening in his forearm for him to tuck it inside.

"Have I got a Quest for YOU!! I could go with several, actually.. And some info which you have most certainly earned. Firstly.." He turns and motions to Ur "You mentioned me coming with you. As a matter of fact, I'd love to, and if you're going to succeed, I'll have to eventually.. Problem is I can't. Can't leave this compound without being discovered by beings that would love to destroy me. Heck, I know a guy who'd give his hand AND eye to get it done." A twinkle enters his eye and he chuckles, seemingly at some inside joke.

"BUT for now I'm protected on this plane, and in this compound. Hence the quests.. well, objectives I guess would be more accurate.. though I do like the term Quest, it has a certain feel to it doesn't it? Just kinda.." Wade stops and stares dreamily at the hole in the floor for a moment.. or two..

"Right.. quests! So why Quests? Couldn't I just help you find and defeat the other guys that know about it? Well, yeah, probably.. but the information is out there now, it won't go away. You can't destroy an idea, and now that the universe has remembered the book, it's not safe. SO, I guess before I tell you anymore, I need to know something from you." He looks at Darrian "All of you. What do you intend to do with the book? Hide it? Use it? Find a way to destroy it? Your intentions will shape our journey."

OOC: Don't bother spending the healing resources, as D'raven says, he has unlimited healing available in the compound.

Also, amusing side note: it didn't really come out during play because D'raven did end up handling the stone, but it actually required to be charged by both his divine spark AND one with the Universal Power before it would hurt Wade. I was kinda waiting for someone to chuck it down before he had touched it and be all indignant at Wade that nothing happened.

Also, Posting Wade's sheet to the Rogue's Gallery for anybody who's curious as to his build. It's mostly legit with a few "DM Specials"

"Well fought Wade, and everyone." Now visible, Braham nods to D'Raven, including him in the compliment. "Though you might have mentioned the available healing earlier."

Braham does take advantage of enough healing to bring himself back to full health.

"As for the book, I do not believe we should use it or even destroy it. Reluctantly then, I see no choice but to re-hide it, to be found only when it's truly needed. But in truth, I don't have enough information to say who should use it or when."

"I think it's clear that the ones who hid it first either could not destroy it, or didn't think it should be destroyed," Mei-Ying says. "It represents potential, should the wisdom exist in the worlds to use it without falling to temptation. If that wisdom does not exist when we find it, then it must be protected until that time comes."
