Gaming W/Jemal: Planar Quest IC (Prologue)

[sblock=OoC]Unless jemal has Wade being stubborn, Darrian left a while back. There are servents around thou.[/sblock]

One of the servants explains. "The Bazzar is always open, just the types of businesses change depending on the hours. If you wish for something just ask and it can be fetched. Payment on delivery of course."

After some discussion with the servants and between the mages, during which Darrian returns from 'putting Wade away', it is decided that in order to have the best chance of success, they should try a couple more powerful castings of the spell. There is at least one Scroll-seller of sufficient power nearby that the servants can retrieve scrolls from with relative ease.
OOC:
After another lookover of Vision and how it works, I think it's best for you to go with 20th lvl castings of Vision rather than minimum, due to the Caster check required.. the DC for something of this nature would be 30, so two castings at lvl 20 would give you a good chance of success. If you want 'backup data', a third is also acceptable.
They would be 4,000 GP(400 Platinum) each (CL 20 X Spell lvl 7 X 25gp + 500 for the XP cost) unless Darrian wants to try calling in or owing some favours, in which case he could likely get 1 for free. (But keep in mind these favours aren't unlimited!)
The Vision scrolls can be there within half an hour of your decision, so if you want the visions tonight, post as such. Either way, post at least what your character's 'vote' is, and we'll get this moving. :)

[sblock=dm's eyes only][sblock=c'mon, I am serious][sblock=really? you goin there?][sblock=please stop it, dm only][sblock=last chance]Gerrard .. .. .. .. .. "By the way, I can help with tolerating the effects of the madness with a spell of the 5th level", Gerard says. He seems deep in concentration.

Damn, had to stop reading at the last sblock b/c it said 'if you are not jamel', and I'm only a Jemal. :P
Will post up info for you later, heading to work now.

Also I always found it odd how people try so hard to avoid calling spells by 'level', using 'order, magnitude, etc'. They mean the exact same thing as level.. calling it a third 'level' spell makes just as much sense as a third 'order' spell.. and honestly, third level sounds better.
There's nothing about it that screams 'metagame'. It's not like you're referencing something that only exists as a way to define things for the players - different levels of spells are an IN WORLD difference. Just for the record, most NPC's will be referring to them as levels b/c that's my preference.
Perhaps 'magnitude' is a Prime-plane dialect.

What are you talking about? It says jemal. I will stick to 'level' in the future. It is a term from the prime world ಟೆರ್ರಾ ಸಾಲ್ ಮೂರು

OOC: Ah, google translate you silly machine... It says ಟೆರ್ರಾ ಸಾಲ್ ಮೂ = Terra Sol Move...
If you want to use a term other than Level feel free, I was just commenting. :P

OOC: Ur trusts the others to choose wisely. And is presently concentrating a connected matter. :)

"Assume they did leave a way in the meantime?"
Hm. What does that tell them, if anything, he wonders, caught up in the exercise (like imagining a house from its burnt-out ruins). How did *this* hider mean his Key to be found...?

"I see no reason to delay," Mei says on the matter of the scrolls. "Lets buy three and see how that goes. If we get sufficient information with two, then perhaps we can use the third for other things. Right now, we need to know a great deal about a great many things."

While a servant rushes out <I'm assuming>, the dwarf inquires: "What will you ask first?" And, "Is this like a Wish?" Where the wording can be a matter of life and death, heartfelt celebration or everlasting regrets. (Or so all the stories insist: Gerard seems to have little trouble taming his own limited version. A look at the mustachioed wizard-warrior... Maybe he is just *that* good.)
