Gamma World Fans Writing For Andromeda? SPOILERS!

ColonelHardisson

What? Me Worry?
The Nietzcheans, the resident foe race on the TV show Andromeda (sort of filling the role the Klingons fill in Star Trek) now have their own enemies - the Knights of Genetic Purity, consisting of Pure Strain Humans, who are seeking the destruction of genetically enhanced humans.

I'll bet this sounds familiar to any long-time Gamma World fans out there. Seemed a little too similar to be a coincidence - looks like someone at the show is a gamer!

Anyone else catch this?

Which epsidose is this? *I missed last week's with Tyr's child* I'd like some explaination about that.

*btw I think the Knights got formed on Earth AFTER the Nietzcheans took over Earth. That's my theory.*

But please explain Coln, if I'm wrong and/or thoroughly confused.

It was the very episode you missed. The Knights seem to be a new antagonist group on the show. They have better tech, outmatching even the Andromeda in some cases. They also wear battle armor that is reminiscent of Star Wars Stormtrooper armor, or maybe the clone armor from the new Star wars movie.

Basically, they seem to want to ally with Dylan and crew, despite all of Andromeda's crew being enhanced in some way (Hunt's mother was a heavy worlder, making him stronger than the average human). Hunt, shall we say, rebuffed them...

So do they like Aliens at all, or just against their own kind getting enhanced?

*which again proves I need to watch this show regularly...or at least not watch so much Hockey! ;) *

They didn't go much into their philosophy, but it seems they are focused on just enhanced humans, most specifically the Nietzcheans. They didn't seem to have too much of a problem with Hunt or the rest, except Tyr. They were going around wiping out Nietzchean strongholds, killing every man, woman, and child. Of course, Hunt may have had a special significance to them, since he was rumored to have wiped out the biggest part of the Nietzchean fleet 300 years before (remember the time travel episode where he did that?) and is currently drubbing the Nietzcheans right and left in his quest to restore the Commonwealth.

The main focus of the episode, though, was Tyr trying to save his wife and son, who - and this is a SPOILER - - - - is the Nietzchean messiah.

I liked this episode a lot, as I did the one last week with the fleet of ships they rescued.

So that Draco character is reborn huh? Well then I guess it just proves that what was once was old is new again! :)

I like the fleet episode too, mainly because now Dylan doesn't have to worry about sending out Andromeda to do most of the heavy fighting.

Colonel - for one terrible moment I expected to open this thread and hear that Andromeda had introduced giant militant rabbits....

Cheers
