Somehow I saw Arnold Schwarzenegger and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine as the heads of the Ettin.

Now that DeathMutant mentioned it, though Duke Nukem is good for the blond.

One thing I like (just a little off-topic) is that the DDM side of the cards are actually pretty usable in a standard D&D game now. We've always used our miniatures cards, but I doubt they will be revamping the D&D side of those cards now. So I suppose I can actually build me a deck of encounters now if I'm careful with them.

Could be cool

As for the new minis, they look pretty cool, and yeah the ettin aint very impressive

The DnD side will be different, the side we can see is not engineered for the RPG and while you can fudge the RPG mechanics from them, I expect there will be differences still that matter. Some of these abilities do not seem to match up with the known DnD abilities and how they work.

Fortunately the new DnD Stat blocks should fit entirely on the card which will indeed make them much better for handy reference. :)

While I think that both figures look ok, I'm not sure why we got another Gargoyle mini so soon. There was one in the Blood War set. Surely a new Bearded Devil would have been better. And the Ettin looks like he's spent too much time in the sun. Don't Ettin worry about skin cancer?

Does anyone else find it a little strange the two ettin heads have different hair colors, or that they were able to compromise on an outfit?

Ettins' are more worried figuring out how something that ammounts to conjoined identical twins can look so different...

:D

As for the gargoyle, from time to time WotC releases new minis for staple monsters.

I like the gargoyle just fine (even though I kind of wish it were a template), and I can't tell the differences bethween the new and old Ettin.
