Most sci fi movies and almost all super hero movies bore me. Not all, but most.

Hulk with Ed Norton? I loved it. Christian bale vs bane? Same. Rewatched those a few times. Guardians of the galaxy was worth a watch. I liked Thor ragnorak.

Ant man? Avengers? X-men? Captain America? Wonder Woman? Superman? Shazam? Aquaman? Black panther? I just can’t care anymore. I am not trying to be crabby—they just bore me and it’s a little depressing.

People getting excited about marvel continuity? I don’t even try to follow it. Effort greater than fun.

Same with a lot of TV shows. Just not interested.

I realize my geek focus is more focused now. D&D, building stuff for it or miniature games and an occasional series x shooter is it.

Similar to what someone said above, I find myself losing interest in a lot of sf/fantasy shows...lots of good stuff out there, but it almost feels oversaturated. Even the shows I liked to varying degrees, I find myself losing interest in and/or forgetting.

Oh, and Rings of Power is an atrocity.

Everything Star Wars post original trilogy ranges from really bad ("I don't like sand") to meh (Oh cool, Boba Fett again. I guess).

Star Wars has close to the worst ratio of good:bad movies around and the TV show ratio may actually be worse. (Only counting live action here.)

The Alien franchise, as much as it pains me to say, may be the only sci-fi/fantasy ratio with a worse ratio.

I agree for what I’ve read, but a friend is telling me that the Disney-era novels have been very solid fun. One of these days I’ll go try them myself.
