Well, plans are a' firmin' and I've decided that I'm going to make my way to GenCon 2003 from NYC via Harley. I figure it's going to take about 10 hrs, plus a couple for stops and meals. Can't wait! Remember, it's the journey, and not the destination. Well, the destinatiion is pretty cool too!

How else are people gettin' where they're gettin', and where are you all coming from?

see there's this thing called a plane and it goes fast and takes 2hrs to get there...yeah..i am doing that...:)

Laff! Now that's a funny one! This must be your first time flying!

Let's see: 2 hr flight, +getting to the terminal 2 hrs for check-in, plus 2 hrs delays etc, +30 mins baggage grab. . . .I don't think you're really all that better off.

Hey, I'm qualified to comment here too, as I'm a Gold Elite frequent flier thanks to my job. It's no fun. That said, I flew to GenCon last year, and it wasn't all that bad, it's just way more fun to ride.

Driving from South Carolina and while it is about a 10 hour drive also going to take two days! Leave mid-day Tuesday, stop somewhere and then drive in and check out the city and site on Wednesday.

Minivan.

16 hours.

Wife, myself, two kids and a friend.

And a TV with a PS2, for watching DVDs and playing games.

Nice! Where is Vankleek Hill, Ont? I'm originally from Toronto, and don't recognize the town.

Leave some time for that border crossing! The yanks are a little nervous of their northern neighbour's porous border these days.
