General consensus on expertise feats

Although I believe that expertise is a math tweak, we have implemented it as written.

3 out of 4 characters have it and all three had base 16s as their prime stats. The 18 stat guy feels his attack is accurate enough for him to fill out other areas of his character.

If I had a character with a starting 18-20 stat, I might forgo it for a while, particularly if they used a high accuracy weapon.

At level 15 it becomes a different story, that +2 is really attractive. Not really a big enough issue however to warrant a house rule imo.

When I build my super-optimized characters, Expertise is always picked by at least 6th level, usually I just choose it first and get it over with.

For instance, the 7th level ranger I built to play test a delve took these:

1. WE: Heavy Blades
2. WF: Heavy Blades
4. EWP: Bastard Sword
6. The Half-Orc feat that grants surges/Init bonus

Boring on paper. But the guy I gave it to play had a blast playing it because he hit all the time and did a bunch of damage.

Sigh. Count me in Nifft's second group.
