General Discussion Thread IX

I'm considering additional recruitment for one of my adventures, A Clash of Earth and Sea. If anyone has a PC level 3 or higher that would be interested, let me know... I'm not planning on going through the RDI for this, and my initial thought would be that a character travelling through the wilderness might stumble into the adventure....

It's also possible that omens of impending doom might draw some additional adventurers in to help out the current group.

My cleric of Mongrel, Planus, just popped back into the inn. He's third level and enjoys traipsing about the wilderness. It even has the built in Mongrel led him there excuse. He'll no doubt grow bored quickly in the inn if nothing pops up there, though if you like, he could get bored even quicker.

If Planus wishes to be led north based on a vision, that would be great. Also, if anyone is daft enough to follow 'the cleric who thinks he's had a vision' --either from the inn or who happens to come across Planus on his travels-- that would also work well.

And don't forget your swimsuits! ;)

Perhaps it is a foreign concept but philosophical discussion about perception and reality can take place without the one side inferring something about the other. One could say we are playing semantics but semantics is nothing but the way words are used. If we are not using the words to mean the same things communication is lost and that is what happened here. I draw a huge difference in between saying the appearance or perception of something is thus and making the definitive statement that something is or is not a certain way. Huge difference I hide accusation behind nothing - I have no need if I have a specific accusation I will damn well say it plainly. I have no reason to appear passive yet behave aggressive. When I need/want to be aggressive you can be damn sure I can/will do so plainly and communicating no doubt to the audience that is my intention.

This is ... awesome. I love not having to try to read someone, especially over the internet. Kudos to you for making your intentions clear. Not enough people do that, and I wish more would.

And as to discussion, as long as it doesn't degenerate down into 'Uh Huh!' and 'Nuh Uh!', then it's generally good, even if there are misunderstandings.

And while this might not be the time to ask, are you going to start up a living game here? The more the merrier, after all. :)

If Planus doesn't work out, Jack Haggerty's my 4th level Fighter/Rogue. Right now he's cooling his heels at the RDI, and itching to be back on the move.

Planus will be announcing his vision soon. Patlin, anything particular to include in the vision? Jack is welcome to accompany him, though given Patlin's track record I could see why Jack would refuse.

Jack would be only too happy to tag along... so long as Patlin doesn't mind.
