Paging Kahuna Burger. You're wanted in Murder in the Pits
sorry, upcoming baby baptism stress has my brain kinda fried - I'm good for the occasional response, but haven't been able to work up the mental head of steam for actual descriptions and plot progression. Start an interparty duel and cover for me till monday... um, maybe not....

Actualy, we already overthrew Earling, and need you to help us march on Orussus :]

Just wondering where you went. If you're stalled, just let us know. Don't keep up hanging.

Thanks :)

Woho! I'm dead!

Juliana Hayes, my first ever psionic character ever, is officialy the first character to die in LEW. :( May she rest in piece.

Wow, that's though... sorry to hear that. There are so many times Troi was almost awarded that title...

Don't worry. Pretty soon everyone in LPNN is probably going to die (or at least most). Troi will have to wait in line :D

Hey, I just read the battle description. I'm not a judge or anything and obviously it's the DM's call, but I don't think your description of Juliana's action included charging a guy with a reach weapon, especially since when you stated the action before seeing he had a reach weapon. "take a defensive stance and prepare a trip attack for the leader should he come close" sound a lot like a readied action with no movement to me. Although the ratman was going to get an attack sometime and so if his second attack was a critical for 22 damage, someone was going to die. Actually, Juliana's stated action was nearly identical to Hallidor and he had higher initiative. :)

Actually, the ratman readied an action too, so he was never going to attack if nobody charged him, but I agree with you Slag :)

We're discussing it. I'll bow to the GM's decision though.

Honestly, that frees me up to try my other concept, though that is pending on someone approving the Katara, which have been changed to fix Orsal's issues with it, but he is now out of the country for a while, so might have to wait a bit.

Who knows, maybe I'll do the Cleric of Mongrel I was pondering, though that's another freefolk idea potentialy, and I don't know if he can wield a bastard sword to start (He may use it anyway, and become proficient at 3rd level, but that would suck for a little while).

One thing this has tought me, when taking a redied attack action against a potential charging opponent who may or may not have a reach weapon, take it the following way.

"I will take a five foot step and attack anyone who gets within 10 feet of me" or some such. Lets you step in under their reach :)
