As you can guess from my note, I'd encourage that as well. ;) Though since we're talking about reincarnating humanoids, usually, we won't see too drastic changes in Con. Nothing like a "My Constitution just increased by 10" or similar stuff.

Well, if an elf ever reincarnate into a troglodyte, we got a +6 Con and -4 Dex... that change the face of a character :P

What happen with ECL races and races with HD? What happen if a human is reincanated into a troglodyte (2HD, ECL +2)

Hmmm... someone suddenly got a lot more powerful? I don't see a reasonable way of compensating, so I guess a level 4 character just turned into an ECL 5 (counting the level lost for return from death) character. I'm really not worried about people offing themselves in the hope of getting reincarnated as something more impressive, so I can live with that.

Adamantine and Alchemical silver are not very clear. Is the additional amount (+2 for silver, +60 for adamantine) per unit of ammo (i.e. per arrow or bolt), per purchase group (i.e. per 20 arrows or 10 bolts), or per 50 units of ammunition?
It's per individual item (Basicly, it's the weapon cost devided by 50)

so, is it 2 gp per bolt or, cost divided by 50, 4 cp per bolt?
No, it's 2 gp per bolt.

1 weapon = 50 bolts, so 3000 for 1 adamantine weapon = 3000 for 50 bolts (which breaks down to 60 per bolt)

Hmm. I think it's clear for adamantine that it is +60gp per arrow/bolt. A normal weapon is +3000gp so divided by 50 is +60gp. However, alchemical silver is not a flat cost per weapon. It's +20gp for light weapon, +90gp for one handed weapon, and +180gp for a two handed weapon. None of those divides by 50 to give +2gp per arrow. Still, I think it should be +2gp per arrow.

Edit: Bront posted while I was typing, but I'll leave it as is.

I also read it as 2 gp per piece of ammunition. I find Knight Otu's interpretation (where did you get the 50 from?) especially unlikely, as an extra 2 gp for 50 arrows or crossbow bolts is a trivial add-on to the price, and this shouldn't be a trivial cost. 2 gp per whatever-size-batch-they-are-usually-sold-in is plausible; it would triple the price of both arrows and crossbow bolts. Most weapons, if made of alchemical silver, have their price much more than tripled.

50 arrows/bolts/ammo is considered a single load. If you make magic arrows, they come in loads of 50, etc. It's an arbitrary WoTC number, and that's where some of the confusion lies.

Ahhh... I see. It comes from here:
This price is for 50 arrows, crossbow bolts, or sling bullets.
Now magical empowerment is not the same as using special materials, but it's a useful guideline. If magically enhancing 50 arrows costs the same as the equivalent enhancement for one sword, it's plausible that the ratio for using special materials is somewhat similar. Since by Bront's calculations, it works out to exactly that for adamantine, and to something similar for alchemical silver (50 x 2gp/unit is squarely in the middle of the various weapon costs), I think this is actually further evidence for the list-price-for-one-unit interpretation.
