You can take a feat that grants you all the spellcasting of a caster two levels lower than you, and you actually can cast all those spells without spending any actions!

I've had a (not so) quick look at the prerequisites for the various wondrous items, and it seems to me that it is weighted towards arcane casters, and higher levels. I mean, if he takes CWI at 3rd, then he can make:
  • a candle of truth (and haven't we all wished for one of those!)
  • a cloak of resistance +1
  • a horn of fog (which could be useful, I suppose)
  • a phylactery of faithfulness
  • a rope of climbing, &
  • unguent of timelessness (oh, goody!)
On the other hand, if he takes Brew Potion, then he can make potions of virtually any spell he can cast - not to be sneezed at!

Now admittedly there are quite a few cool items that he can make at much higher levels - but who's ever going to get to 15th level on a LEW PbP?

On the whole, I suspect that it might be better to take CWI at level 9, and go with BP at level three and CMA&A at level 6.

I am encouraged that many of the magical armors are possible for him, and that (I assume) the magical weapons will be, too.

I think I might go with a straight cleric build, taking Scribe Scroll at 1st level, Brew Potion at 3rd and Craft Magical Arms & Armor at 6th. I'll have to look at B4cchus' prestige class, to see if that would be a good fit, but in the meantime I'll have plenty to be going on with.

Funny that I'd never thought of a cleric as a crafter before. :)

Boddyknock, there is a feat that have been created for LEW:

Armored Casting [General]
Through focused training and practice, you are able to apadt your somatic components while casting in light armor.
Prerequisites: Armor Proficiency (Light), Light Armor Optimization, BAB +3
Benefit: When wearing light armor, decrease the arcane spell failure chance by 10%
Special: Medium armor made of mithril counts as light armor for the purpose of interacting with this feat.
-Created by Erekose13

With a mithral chaishirt, you finish with 0% ASP. If you have a good dex, you'll be easily able to have a good AC and wear you armor properly. And you can easily have it by level 4 (Figther 2/ Wizard 2) or 5 (Figther 1/ Wizard 4).

I'm in good way to reach it with Rinaldo... if he can survive that adventure :p Rinaldo is 9th level, most likely 10 by teh end of this adventure.

Caster Level is not a requirement except for a few when it is listed as a requirement like weapons. All other times, it is the standard caster level for a "found" item. You can actually make a ton more than that (stat boosters, for instance)

I've just updated the character thread index (first post) with the last two weeks' worth of approvals. I think I caught everyone who's been approved (although there are still a couple waiting for their second approval). If you've got a character who's gotten the requisite two judge approvals, either as a new character or as a level-up, and is not listed accordingly on the character thread, let us know -- I may have missed one or two.

I noticed there were a few feats in the SRD hidden in the Divine section, such as Divine Might and Energy Substitution. Are those available for players to take?

They're almost all feats that have appeared in other books, and none of them seem exclusively Divine.

I mean the feats in the right most column too. Though if I can take Divine Weapon Focus I won't complain either.
