General Discussion

Hey, it took me a week to figure out how to write the scripts. So, no worries.

I have in the back of my head to eventually add a Recruitment_URL to the fields as well that will point to the initial recruitments in the DWI. That way, someone wanting to read the story can get the whole story.

A question on terminology.

Sans Uncanny Dodge, A flat-footed character is denied his Dex bonus to AC. Does any action which denies someone that dex bonus make them similarly flat-footed for rules purposes? In other words, are both of the following statements true (again, ignoring Uncanny Dodge):

* All flat-footed characters are denied their Dexterity bonus to AC

* All characters denied their Dexterity bonus to AC are flat-footed.

Personally, I tend to use 'flat-footed' that way, as a shorthand for 'denied Dex,' but I'm not entirely sure. The SRD description of the condition seems to suggest it's only properly applied during the surprise / first round of combat.

I think that's a good idea. First descriptions of recruiting NPCs are usually in the DWI and not always repeated in the game thread. For that alone I think adding the link would be useful.

Flat-footed also removes the ability to make attacks of opportunity. Abilities (such as Feint) that 'deny Dex' seem to me to be a sort of in-between condition between flat-footed and normal (they mention neither being flat-footed nor losing AoOs). Based on that, I would say statement two is not true. Note: this is just my top-of-the-head answer. It very likely that there is some rule detail that I've missed.

What's up guys. So I'm making a character to play on your LPF forums and was wondering if there's a way to wrap the text on the descriptors instead of the need for the left to right scroll bar.

First of all: welcome! I hope you come to enjoy it as much as I have. We've got a good community going here (but then again, I'm biased ;)).

As for your question: the only way that I've seen, unfortunately, is to do it manually by pressing enter. Not ideal, but I don't think there's another option.

I know this isn't Talking the Talk but does anyone know of any PF AP's starting soon or one's that are currently in play and need another PC to fill the roster? I'll finish my barb up today and get him into a game soon I hope.

First of all, welcome!

At the moment, I'm not aware of any adventures for level 1s in the pipeline, but folks are pretty good at whipping things up as needed. My suggestion would be to finalize your PC and then get him into The Dunn Wright Inn for some RP'ing. From there, just stay active and present, and I'm sure someone'll find something for you to do!

Also, just FYI: we tend to either homebrew adventures here, or adapt them to the fluff of E'n (as outlined on the wiki). A Paizo AP would never be run without at least tweaking it to fit into the setting, and LPF adventures also seem to avoid running anywhere near that length (running an AP on PbP would take years to complete!).
