General star wars talk/discussion/complaining

Honestly, as much as the final space battle in Return in the Jedi (the only appearance of the ship in the original series) ruled and B-Wings were cool in them what really made him love them was the B-Wing expansion to the original X-Wing game.

X-Wing series expansions are probably the reason behind both of my favorite Star Wars fighter ships (B-Wings and TIE Defenders).

I played the heck out of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games, but I think I stalled out on the B-Wing expansion because of a couple of missions I really struggled with, so I didn't get attached to it back then. The TIE Defender was another ship that it was really cool to see turn up in Rebels.

The X-Wing and TIE Fighter games are the source of a lot of good menories! My love of B-Wings and TIE Defenders both spring from them as well.

Seeing the prototype in Rebels really sold me on them, and showing the production-line models using the mini-superlaser at the end of Skeleton Crew was a real squee moment.
If memory serves the original continuity (Legends I think?) the ship was designed primarily by Ackbar himself. It's been a while since I watched Rebels but I think it was still a Mon Calamari designing it.

I think what I really love is the gyroscopic stabilizer for the cockpit to keep the pilot level with the horizon... for a space ship. Very dumb, but in a dumb Star Wars physics (where space ships slow to a dead stop without reverse thrusters) kind of way.

Ooh, bad example. In the same fight, once Luke makes it onto the sailbarge's deck, Random Mook #20 successfully shoots him in his artificial hand.
Also bad example as he gets taken out by a BLIND Han Solo. That fail just completely wipes out everything else. And silent before Vader, screaming when his jet pack gets hit.
