Generic Warrior - Best Class Ever?

Making it for a prestige class is real easy for the generic warrior. At least the first time, because you can aim your character from the start to hit the PrC prerquisites as soon as the skill ranks are high enough.

However, some PrCs require certain class features not available for GenW so that makes it impossible.

IIRC, it's more freeform than that. They list some options (familiar, evasion, etc.) that are normally class abilities, but it says somewhere that you adapt other features for use.

I'm not looking at the generic classes as a "cheat" to get into PrCs faster. I'm looking at it in terms of finding a rules-light system that still allows use of D&D conventions. Of course, I might just make PrC abilities into "feats" like they do with this variant anyway, and allow the base classes to choose them.

That works too, but I would pay attention the the pre-reqs built into attaining the PrC and make those pre-reqs for the new "feats." For example, improved evasion has evasion and some high (+7 I think) base reflex save minimum for pre-reqs.
