Gestalting with monster levels. Has it been done?

Our current party of Gestalts feature a Faen-Sprite Rogue 2 | Shaper 1 with the first "monster-class" level for 1/2 Dragon (not sure where he found that o.0).

Yep, thats right! We have our very own Faerie-Dragon-in-training! We also have a Deep-dwarf Cleric | Psy-warrior who has exhibited some rather unusual abilities... only he and the DM know wtf is going on.

I'm playing rather "normal" for once with a Warforged Fighter | Shaper... (I didn't realize our DM was allowing LA to work with Gestalt that way... most are too squeemish to consider it)

Our DM ruled that you had to take 1/2 of the level ajustment on BOTH sides of the gestalt then take any hit dice on one side and a normal class on the other side.

though in hindsight this may have been a bad idea, as it allowed me to churn out a arrow demon that had +50 to hit and 10 attacks with his +10 composite longbows PER ROUND. for damage in excess of 200 on average if he scored a crit.

admitedly this was with a homebrew feat that allowed you to do the reverse of combat expertise with a ranged attack:
Reckless Barrage [General]
Prerequisites: +1 base attack, Wis 15+
Benifit: this feat allows you to subtract a number from your AC up to a maximum of your base attack bonus (you needed the improved version to get more than 5) and add that to your TO HIT.

Also i worked out with my DM that my minor artifact (we all got one at the start of the 21st lvl game) could turn any non-magical arrow that I fired into an "arrow of truth"
(arrows of truth add 2 to your crit multiplier, 3 to your crit range (DOES stack with improved crit/keen), let you crit undead, AND if you beat the AC of your opponent by 10 or more then you score an automatic critical threat)

after all of my feats & items my attack bonuses looked like this:
Bow 1: +50/+50/+45/+40/+35
Bow 2: +50/+50/+45/+40/+35
it was awsome, authough if anything closed with me i was pretty dead with only AC: 9
but my dwarf fighter 19/ Barbarian 19 did tend to keep pesky enemies out of my hair pretty well.
