Apparently today is the last day to get Vecna for free. Why in the world would that be?

So that people who heard about it late now have to pay for it.

I can't help but think it may come back in another form someday, just like the promotional Saphhire Dragon.

They must have a reason, but on its face it strikes me as not just dumb but also anti-consumer.

For what it's worth, a recent tweet from DnDBeyond uses the phrasing "last day to claim the Vecna Dossier at no cost!" (emphasis mine), which would imply it will likely still be available in the future, albeit no longer for free.

I think that either a Rogues Gallery if NPCs or an Undead Fizban's type book would both make sense.

ugh... so a new to the game player next week has to pay to access what I got for free cause they are new... not a great look for WotC, but a reason they may not want it to be pdf and easy to share.
