Getting a thread stickied

I may be biased, but a user-maintained stickied thread has worked pretty well in TtT... ;)

Well, I'm still confused about this whole deal but I still want to follow thru with this sticky idea. So I am hereby requesting that my 'Collected House Rules' by stickied. If I can do anything to further my cause, give me a heads up.

Many thanks,
TS

What I did was I contacted the mods of the forum I was wanting a sticky thread for. I discussed the idea with them, bounced different ideas around, and came up with a result that everyone liked (though, mine is/was designed to help people, so the mods wanted it to work as much as I did), and then I created the thread.

It wasn't even stickied at first, but once the mods were sure I would update it quickly and easily, they had no qualms about having it stickied (though, with the understanding that if it wasn't updated with some pre-decided consistency, it might be unstickied).

I don't know if my thread was a special case, because of the nature of it, but I imagine that if you created a useful thread, the mods might be willing to sticky it (so, ask later). I'd think that since there is already a Feats thread and a Classes/Races thread, you'd want to make a different but similar thread.

EDIT: ... As I now see you've done. I recommend you organize it differently, but it looks good. :)

How exactly would you recommend organizing it differently? Oh and how do I know which mod governs the house rules forum? I see a list of 10 mods at the forum's bottom, are they all specific to HRs or general mods? I don't know why but I always just figured that a forum only needs one mod each.

With categories. Specifically, I'd take a look at the table of contents of my PHB and do:[sblock]Ability House rules (and stat rolling)

Race House rules (possibly subdivide between new races and modified old races)

Multiclass rules

Class House rules (same subdivision)

Skill House rules

New feats

Alignment houserules

Equipment

Combat
-Initiative
-Attacks of Opportunity

Magic

Spells
etc[/sblock] And organize each thread so they're alphabetical by subject, or something, so they're easy to find. (People, I think, are less apt to remember the creator than the actual thing they created)

The bold mods are the mods that are mods on all of the boards, the unbolded ones are just for that forum. That forum doesn't have any forum-specific mods. :heh:
