Ghost Whisperer Season Finale

Mistwell

Crusty Old Meatwad
Okay, so it's not the best show on the air. But I stuck with it all season because 1) She is cute, 2) it's vaguely sci-fi/fantasy related, 3) it's one of those shows my wife does not watch so I didn't have to wait for her to be around before I hit play on the Tivo.

That said, these last few episodes of the season were REALLY good. Wow. All kinds of stuff I didn't expect.

Highlight below for spoilers:

1) There is a bad guy with powers similar to Melinda, but pure evil and possibly a demon or something similar himself, 2) the "bad guy" was directly competing with Melinda for the souls of an entire plane crash by trying to convince the souls to not go into the light but to stay on earth with their friends and family to help him and serve a purpose rather than risk the afterlife, and for some of them it worked and they sank into the ground with him apparently now as his minions 3) MELINDA'S PARTNER IS NOW DEAD and didn't even know it for an entire episode (nor did I pick up on it), 4) people in the afterlife are talking about Melinda as if she is "the one", 5) the Government as represented by the NTSB agent seems to know about people like Melinda and think the CIA registers people like her and was surprised to find out she was not registered with the CIA.

wait - partner as in husband or partner as in business partner? We stopped watching about a month or so ago because the episode were a bit stinky, but now I wonder if we made a mistake. This sounds much more interesting than the ghost of the week they were doin before.

Partner as in her business partner.

However, her Husband was able to see the light at one point, with the potential implication that he was dead. I do not think that is the case, but it is vaguely possible.

For the last 6 or so episodes the show has been different. More sinister. Bad things are happening to the dead. For a while her powers seemed to have disappeared but instead it turned out the dead were fleeing the area or hiding or had been captured somewhere, and it was somehow related to the lucifer-like character. And then all this stuff with a plane crashing into the town and hundreds of dead facing her down all at once in a crowd and the speeches for their souls.

The whole "Register with the CIA" thing was tripping me out as well.

I caught the people disapearing episode, and thought it was intriging, but I work on Friday nights, so it's been hard to watch it.

I think her husband is alive. I remember him saying something about seeing the light and the NTSB was also looking at the light. I think so many people crossed over and she won a big battle for the side of good that even the living saw the light.

I just figured that was a technical glitch and that the light on the living was something they couldn't figue out how to do properly with thier limited budget. This is not Lost, I don't realy look for tiny clues. They tend to beat you over the head normally.
