Essentially, it's a big sack with lots of mundande items, like a lump of wax or chunk of cheese. It also holds their throwing rocks.

On second though... I think that's actually not a bad idea!
Hey, it's a hill.... it's got plenty of nooks and crannies across its body to store stuff into. It's navel alone is the size of a small cave. 
And if it needs boulders to hurl, it can pick one off its rump. (Are those boulders, or just grayish scabs of rocky skin? So hard to tell on these guys! 
)
