Cryo/Pyro: They'd gain the Cold or Fire subtype, as appropriate. They'd also gain a breath weapon that deals 3d6 damage (again, cold or fire), ref save for half (DC 10 + 1/2 # of heads + Con mod, or DC 16 in this case). Breath weapon AoE are lines 10' high x 10' wide x 20' long, one from each head. All heads breathe at the same time, and the breath weapon has a 1d4 round recharge period.

Adding Cryo or Pyro does not, for some reason, adjust the CR of the creature. Just its LA.

What was the other question? +1 template?

Edit: Heh, and thank you everyone for the kind words. Most appreciated. ^_^

Cryo or Pyro? No, they do not modify the creature's HD beyond what having extra heads does. They just make it frosty of fiery.

I think the reason that pyro or cryro don't add +1 is that it builds in a vulnerablity to the opposing element/energy type.

If you want to make it "uglier" might I suggest a specific "racial" tactical feat? Toss and charge.

When making a charge attack against 2 non adjacent opponents in a stright line, the second of which who would qualify for a charge attack if not for the presence of the other, the (monster) may charge the first opponent, and if it hits, does 1/2 charge damage with no stregth bonus and tosses the opponent into the air. The (monster) continues the charge against the secondary opponent, and is resolved normally. The Opponent lands prone in the same square and must make a fortitude save dc 15+damgage dwelt or be stunned for 1d6 rounds.
