Giants of Legend or Deathknell?

I have several fiendish tyrannusauruses (which I consider almost useless for RPG...

I thought that too, until I was playing a gestalt 18th level sorcerer.

You should have seen the look on the DMs face when I summoned 3 fiendish tyrannosauruses and then put those figures on the table for the first time.

Priceless.

I'd agree: Giants of Legend is the better option.

Although there are some badly distributed cases, they're not very common - I've seen a *lot* of people posting that they got 3 Huge Rares and 1 or 2 of each Huge Uncommon.

Of course, what you'll probably do is get your GoL and then realise that you want the case of Deathknell as well.

I also think that once you start with those figures, you might find that you must have more. Happened to me, and I had just one Sun Soul Initiate. Mercule has a whole case of giants.

The rares are WAY overpriced, so you may want hit ebay and pick specific ones up for less.

everyone i've seen thats ordered their minis in case quantity from one of the main online stores got 3 huge rares in a case.

to those who say they havent, where did you buy your case?
many "flgs" will open and repack cases.

and if you buy 12 loose packs that is NOT the same as buying a case.

the first four sets, my group bought 2 cases. and wound up missing only 3 rares from each set after harbinger. the distribution per case was near perfect. and the two cases in a row (bought together from the same dealer) provided few doubles.

2 unopened/sealed cases from my FLGS. If the cases have been opened, I won't buy them, and the store owner knows that. He pulls the preorders aside as soon as he gets them in from the UPS truck.

I just got notice that my order shipped. ETA is Wednesday. Hit me up then. I like the Nightwalkers and could probably be talked into a trade -- depending on the exact contents.

If I get 8 Nightwalkers, I doubt I'll want any more. If I get a boatload of Fiendish Tyranosaurs or Behirs (which, along with Formians make up the unholy trinity of garbage I do not need), then you'd got a deal.
