'Gish' advice, variant Monk Base

I would forget all about Sorcerer and multi- into Warlock. I suggested this build for a player who wanted to do a Ryu-style character, ie kick, punch, and throw hadoukens. Just say your power comes from your Inner Dragon instead of Demonic influence and you're gold. It also gives you access to the Use Magic Device skill which might actually be cool from a Monk perspective, ie using "magic relics" to duplicate spellcasting (the cartoon Xiaolin Showdown immediately comes to mind).

I had considered this, but in order to flavor my character becoming stronger and more dragon-like, it would require HEAVY houseruling. Generally I prefer the simply utility abilities a warlocks have (and the nature of ALWAYS having the ability handy), but I was coming to the conclusion that I'd end up simply diluting my character's melee ability without getting much oomph in return.

For a note to everyone: I am starting to consider taking a few more levels of monk, then taking a level of Sorcerer(getting the prerequisites for Abjurant Champion), taking abjurant champion to level 5, then moving into Enlightened fist. (I really would have liked to go more with a dragon theme, but I can reflavor things a bit to get a similar theme, and can use the Draconic Feats from Complete arcane, if my DM approves them).

I recommend you take either 2, 4, or 6 levels of monk and break off.

I strongly recommend you start multiclassing into sorcerer now.

You think my third level should be sorcerer? (I still won't have the BAB to move into Abjurant Champion yet)

Also, guys, I got more info on my DM's proposal for Dragon Disciple, and considering I really like the flavor, I figured I'd see how this stacks up mechanically as an option.

Changes to Dragon Disciple said:
Instead of, at maximum level, gaining 8 strength, 2 con, 2 int, and 2 cha, he gains 6 strength, 1 con, 1 int, and 1 cha. Instead of gaining +4 NAC, he gains +3 NAC, and his breath weapon (which can be used only once per day) is weakened from a d8 to a d6. In exchange, the class is now a Full Casting progression)

This seems a rather tempting thing here, but I am not completely certain. Does this version of Dragon Disciple seem a relatively effective choice, mathwise?

Dandu, what build would you be proposing for Aidan, if I switch at level 2? Monk 2/Sorcerer 6/Abjurant Champion 5/Enlightened Fist 7?

From the Monk's Handbook:

M
onk 2/sorcerer 3/enlightened fist 3/abjurant champion 5/enlightened fist+7
1: Stunning Fist (bonus), Combat Casting
2: Combat Reflexes (bonus)
3: Ascetic Mage (take the quick metamagic substitution for sorcerer)
6: open
9: open
12: open
15: open
18: open

Equipment: Monk’s Belt, Necklace of Natural Attacks

Spells of note: Greater Mighty Whallop, Greater Magic Weapon, Superior Invisibility, Bite of the Wear Bear, Otto’s irresistible Dance, other good touch spells/ranged touch spells.

This one is kind of open. You don’t need any specific feats to pull this off. Same with equipment.
