Giving out Magic Items to 12th level PCs

Hey gang --

I am converting my 3.5 game to 4e and the PCs will move to 12th level. Am I blind, or did I completely miss the part about suggested magic item guidelines for higher level PCs?

I found the parcels, though it looks like an awful lot of magic for 5 PCs to gain over 12 levels. What would they have and how can I figure out how to distribute the items among the party?

Just give them items that make sense and leave it at that? So would they have items for each slot by 12th level?

Each PC gains the following...
...1 magic item of a level equal to their character level minus one.
...1 magic item of a level equal to their character level.
...1 magic item of a level equal to their character level plus one.
...Gold equal to the market price of a magic item of a level equal to their character level (used for more magic items, rituals, ritual components, and other such things).
...Whatever mundane equipment they desire at no cost.

For example, a 12th level character would start play with an 11th, 12th, and 13th-level magical item as well as 13,000gp and whatever mundane equipment they felt was appropriate to the character (a pirate captain, for example, would have a sailing ship).

It's in the DMG somewhere, though I don't recall the page number.

EDIT: Ninja'd!

I pitted my 6 1st lvl PCs against 24 Decrepit Skeletons and they did pretty well. They were searching a tomb, and the skeletons activated inside alcoves set into the walls. 12 were very close to the PCs, 6 on either side of them, and the other 12 were up ahead further in the room. The 1st group engaged the party in melee while the 2nd group advanced and fired volleys of arrows from their shortbows - once they were engaged they drew their swords and shields and continued the fight. Nobody got KOed, but a bad streak of rolls from the fighter and paladin made everyone a little nervous as the 1st wave was mostly intact, and the 2nd wave was advancing within dogpile range. At that point the cleric moved up and let loose with Turn Undead, wiping out something like 7 or 8 skeletons. At that point all the PCs had to do was clean up and it was XP time!
Heh - sounds awesome, but I have a hard time envisioning a post which could be further off-topic... Meant to post to a different thread?
