GLEE #17: Bad Reputation

Molly Shannon joins the cast this episode as a new teacher and the only person Sue Sylvester is afraid of. Speaking of Sue, she gets to sing again, this time with Olivia Newton-John.

One of the few episodes that I found disappointing. Nothing really stood out as particularly entertaining for some reason.

They also really humanize Sue whenever they show her having moments with her sister.

I'm having a good laugh at the term "musically promiscuous".

So the theme of the episode was to rehabilitate songs that sucked. Two of them were Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice and Can't Touch This by M C Hammer. And here's the reason why they sucked. They were blatant rip offs. According to the wiki:

Ice Ice Baby samples the bassline of "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie, who did not initially receive songwriting credit or royalties until after it had become a hit.

And MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" used material from Rick Jame's Super Freak.
