Whoopi Goldberg guest stars in tonight's episode. She plays an agent that Rachel is trying to impress, and judging by the promos, doesn't. I actually had a dream about this. Also, we get to meet Puck's father.

The playlist:

The boys sing "The Rain In Spain", originally performed in My Fair Lady

The Troubletones and Tina sing "Cell Block Tango", from the musical Chicago

Kurt sings "Not the Boy Next Door", originally performed in The Boy From Oz

Rachel sings (or rather, attempts to sing) "Don't Rain On My Parade" agian

Kurt sings "The Music of the Night", originally performed in The Phantom of the Opera

The Troubletones and Tina sing "Shake It Out", originally performed by Florence and the Machine

Puck sings "School's Out", originally performed by Alice Cooper

Rachel sings "Cry", originally performed by Kelly Clarkson

I'm glad Kurt didn't do all of "Music of the Night." He completely butchered the part he did sing. I am a very large fan of "Phantom" (I have several versions on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, and even audio cassette, as well as having seen it on Broadway and other stages several times, including a special rendition with Michael Crawford) and absolutely detested his attempt.

Puck's punk-rock version of "The Rain in Spain" was pretty cool, and "Cell Block Tango" was decent, but I'm totally meh on the rest of the songs.

I think that was the point, ie. that he was terrible and should go with his gut.

Quite frankly I'm sick of Rachel and Kurt and Blaine. I find I'm only ever engaged when Santana, Quinn or Tina sing... or when Brittany dances. Hence why I loved the Cell Block Tango and Shake it Out. Although, I have to admit, I think "Cry" was probably the best performance I've ever seen Lea Michele give on the series.
