Here's a follow up: how does it effect invisible creatures?

I am sure that creatures who escape the Prime Material and "bounce" back in are invisible while they are off the plane, but incorporeal and invisible creatures bound to the Prime Material would have a difficult time hiding. Thoughts?

This seems like the primary benefit after the blindness effect.

I don't think I'd have it stick to incorporeal creatures. Not even have a 50% chance to. Of course it depends on when you say it turns from magic to material, if in fact it does.

Bouncing out of the Prime Material they'd be out of site (not invisible), but show their glittering forms if they came back before the spell expired.

I always feel the love for spells with two or more dissimilar uses. Definately a nice good way for a lowly 3rd level party to deal with a persistantly invisible (or Improved Invisibility) opponent, and for mages that specialize in good Illusion DCs (Spell Focus: Illusion, high casting attribute) the blindness is right nasty against meat shields (outside of Paladins) and rogues who normally have poor Will saves.

Glitterdust is easily my favorite 2nd level spell. I have access to 5th level spells in one game, and glitterdust still gets more action than any given 5th level spell, either on enemies, or on the +0 will save frenzied berserker in our party. Right as the fight ends, I blind him.
