Gloomwrought Looks Good!

I agree it looks good, but $40 is a higher price point than Revenge of the Giants (at $30). The only difference is that Gloowrought has tokens and cards and comes in a box.

And Giants has better traction in my mind than Gloomwrought. Now if there was more Ravenloft and domains of dread that would be another matter, but it's pretty clear that's not the case.

There goes someone's resale value.

Ha. True! But I've never sold any of my D&D or Pathfinder stuff. Can't seem to part with it--too many good memories, I guess. I still get a little boost when I crack open one of my older books, like the Fiend Folio or Against the Giants.

Good times!

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0786958480"]Amazon.com: The Shadowfell: Gloomwrought and Beyond: A 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons Supplement (4th Edition D&D) (9780786958481): Andy Clautice, Erik Scott De Bie, Matt Goetz: Books[/ame]

On amazon it's only $26.39, I've already preordered this:)
I was going to do a campaign in shadowfell anyway and this just helps out.

It looks really interesting, and I'd love to read the campaign info about the city and its surroundings, (after I first throw the cards in the trash). Sounds like there's a lot of fertile ground for adventuring there.

Hopefully some kick-ass adventures set there will follow!
Yeah, what's up with those cards? I mean, it's not like we had a Ravenloft boxed set with a deck of car--...

Oh, right, we did. Plus a set of dice, too. :)

Yeah, I hated those cards, too. I liked the dice, though, thanks for asking.

p.s. Is it me, or does it seem like the dislike of folk's dislike of cards in D&D is way more intense than the dislike of cards in D&D. Its as if not wanting to use cards while playing a TTRPG has become some sort of social faux pas. Thank goodness I don't reveal more about myself on these forums--I can only imagine the hell that would break loose when people found out I also dislike polka, saddle shoes and cilantro.
