GM's anyone ever have a Female?

Hrmm, yeah, thinking about it, I've been gaming since the early 80's, have had women in groups most of the time, but this year was the first time I've ever had a female DM. Huh.

It was her first time DMing ever and she did a fantastic job. Gonna be playing in another adventure run by her next week.

Edit

I'm brain dead. I forgot about a female DM I played with at the local FLGS way back when. Unfortunately, she embodied pretty much every negative stereotype. Stinky gamer (brutal when you're playing Saturday around noon - how hard is it to shower by NOON on Saturday) and total railroading DM.

Thinking about it, maybe forgetting that DM was just a self defense mechanism on my part. :p

While I know more male than female GMs, I played in a lot of games ran by women.

My wife is one of the best GMs I know. My sister and several female friends GM sometimes, though none of them is a "full-time GM".

The topic is very badly worded. I'm sure many GMs have experienced relations with a female.

In my current group, we have a husband and wife who have both been DMs numerous times, and I'm hoping to sit in on one of her Sunday games in 2011 so I can experience what it's like to have her as a DM.

Not much time under a female GM for me, one game, I believe, way back in Uni. I would like ot try playing with a female GM, but have not had the chance.

Played in games run by female DMs in the past, both in home games and a few times at cons. Don't go to cons much anymore. My current gaming group is the Man Day Adventurers, so female DMs aren't very likely.

My wife has DM'd on occasion. She's much better than she thinks she is, and just lacks for the confidence that repeated practice brings.

In 25 GenCons, I've never had a female DM for D&D (or PFRPG, as of GC2010). I've had lots of female GMs in games like Shadowrun, Buffy, and Amber, though.

In local play, since I started regularly RPing '84, I've had only one female DM. She was a conundrum ... super-prepared with impressive props and such, but completely unprepared otherwise to run a game. I think she thought she was one of those rare DMs who can wing a good game, but (to put it mildly) she was not. I lasted about four sessions.

*raises hand* Female DM here! I'm a player most of the time, but I've picked up the DM's scepter before and I'm about to do it again on Monday. I wouldn't mind doing it more often if I had more time. Right now I have to carefully budget my time between Christmas shopping and DM prep.

Thanks! (I'm assuming you were talking about me. ;))
