GM's anyone ever have a Female?

I've played in many games with female GMs. My wife runs an ongoing D&D game (that sadly only meets once a year), the cons I go to have many female GMs, and the housecon I run is around 50% female GMs--perhaps a shade under, but right around there. Also, when I LARPed more regularly, I found that roughly half of the LARP GMs were female. I think it really is just a function of player base--if relatively few of the players in a given group are female, then few of the GMs will be (with perhaps some magnifying effects, so 10% female players might lead to 5% female GMs or something). If roughly half of the players are female, than roughly half of the GMs will be as well.

In college, one of our two main GMs was a woman. She ran Basic D&D, Vampire, Werewolf, Metamorphosis Alpha, Floating Vagabond, and Paranoia.

I played with a female GM in a few GURPS games back home. She was a little weaker on knowledge of the system than some of the players, but was top-notch on running the storyline She ran mostly modern or near-future urban fantasy games. She is a freelance writer by trade, and runs a blog at Domestic Chaos

I am a female GM!
Also have mostly played in groups with more ladies than men. It's certainly changed as I've gotten older though. I think the game table is a much friendlier place for ladies to go than it used to be. My first game back in 94 was horrible. I ran straight back to my console games where I could not be insulted or made fun of.
