Goblin god: Maglubiyet

also, Saves:
Fort: +12 (outsider) +12 (Con) +16 (divine) +10 (Ftr) +8 (Clr) +2 (Rog) +2 (Ill) = +62
Ref: +12 (outsider) +11 (Dex) +16 (divine) +5 (Ftr) +4 (Clr) +5 (Rog) +2 (Ill) = +55
Will: +12 (outsider) +8 (Wis) +16 (divine) +5 (Ftr) +8 (Clr) +2 (Rog) +5 (Ill) = +56

His BAB would be: +20 (Outsider) +20 (epic character levels) +16 (Divine Bonus) = +56
Add his Str for melee attack bonus and his Dex for ranged attack bonus. To this add whatever bonuses his weapons and magical items give him.

His saves are for all: +12 (Base) +10 (epic character levels) +16 (Divine Bonus) = +38
To this add the ability modifier, magical item modifier and possible feats for each individiual save.

ok, i reverse engineered it, and it seems to work more or less. so, why a rounded +20 bonus for epic character levels? does it stop at +20?

full attack bonus would be your +56 BAB, -1 size, +4 magic battleaxe (+59). Strength mod is +11, so melee attacks with battleaxe would be +70. Dex mod is also +11, so ranged attacks would be +66. what about touch and ranged touch?

your assesment of saves doesn't quite add up. through reverse engineering, i notice there is another +10 bonus in there somewhere. so, if i bumped up your figure to +48, i have Fort +60, Ref +59, and Will +56. these are more in line with DDG stats.

Doh! I forgot to carry the one... :D

Anyways, the BAB is correct at +20 for the epic levels, as he has forty levels above 20, that brings it to +8 (epic ftr) +6 (epic clr) +3 (epic rog) +3 (epic illus) = +20 for the epic levels (using the table on page 6 of the epic level handbook (this is also mentioned in Deities and Demigods.)
The epic save bonus should also be +20, referring to the same table. So his base save (before feat/item modifiers) should be +48.

Skills points:
Maglubiyet would get 320 (20-HD outsider) + 160 (Ftr 16) + 120 (Clr 12) + 96 (Rog 6) + 60 (Ill 6) = 756 total skill points.

Feats:
Maglubiyet would have 5 (20-HD outsider) +7 (20 character levels) + ? (20 epic levels) +9 (Ftr bonus feats) + scribe scroll and 1 bonus metamagic feat (Illusionist bonus).

so, did i get this stuff right?

here are my recommendations on what to give him.

both goblins and hobgoblins have Hide, Listen, Move Silently, and Spot for skills, and Alertness for a feat, so of course Mags will too.

also, since both his good buddies Gruumsh and Kurtulmak have all of the following additional things, i'd suggest giving them to Mags too if it applies:

Bluff, Climb, Concentration, Craft (metalworking and stoneworking), Diplomacy, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge (arcana), Scry, Search, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Swim

Blind-Fight, Cleave, Combat Reflexes, Dodge, Endurance, Expertise, Great Cleave, Improved Bull Rush, Improved Critical (battleaxe), Improved Disarm, Improved Initiative, Improved Trip, Iron Will, Mobility, Power Attack, Spring Attack, Sunder, Superior Expertise, Weapon Focus (battleaxe), Weapon Specializaion (battleaxe), Whirlwind Attack

any suggestions to fill in the blanks? :)

Edit: PS, would his battleaxe of sharpness now be called a battleaxe of wounding?

The skillpoint and feat progression does not change when you go epic (unless of course the PC/NPC has more than 20 levels in a class/10 levels in a prestige class...) So that looks right, I doubt that he is friends with Gruumsh, as orcs has a tendency to use goblins as catapult ammunition :p

As for his weapon, I would say that it is a +4 Vorpal Battleaxe of Wounding. That's just to tick players of. (Oh I'm sorry, he rolled a crit, your paladin is now headless... :D) Maybe exchange wounding for keen, he is a deity after all...

so, for his 20 epic levels (level 21-40), he'd have an additional 7 feats? so, it would then be 5 (20-HD outsider) +7 (20 character levels) + 7 (20 epic levels) +9 (Ftr bonus feats) + scribe scroll and 1 bonus metamagic feat (Illusionist bonus) for a total of 30 feats?

so, aside from the above listed skills and feats, can you suggest any additional skills and feats to give him?

and i know gruumsh and maglubiyet are not buddies, that was sarcasm (which, i'm sure your response was as well). :p

Ofcourse it was sarcasm, what else could it be?

I'm not entirely sure about the number of feats, but I do have some ideas for additional feats to give him, unfortunatly they're from the FRCS and other non-ogl material. (For example he would gain immensly from the Thug feat.)

Later,

Well, you could give him the other save boosters. (Lightning Reflexes and Great Fortitude.) But other than that. I don't know. We need more OGL feats!

ok, from the last post...

for feats, we need to pick 7 more to fill it out. some good feats for war gods might include: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Deflect Arrows, Divine Might, Great Fortitude, Improved Unarmed Strike, Lightning Reflexes, Quick Draw, Run, Spell Penetration, Stunning Fist, and Track.

also, we need at least one metamagic feat, as a bonus for his illusionist class. some useful ones include: Empower Spell, Quicken Spell, and Still Spell.

for skills, like i said before, maybe he would benefit from 5-10 more new skills. here are some that would fit nicely for him: Alchemy, Appraise, Balance, Craft (armorsmith, trapmaking, weaponsmithing), Knowledge (architecture and engineering, geography, history, religion), and Wilderness Lore.

and, since he is part rogue, he could definitely benefit from some theif skills: Disable Device, Disguise, Escape Artist, Open Lock, and Pick Pocket.

give me some opinions, then i'll make the call. :)
