Goblin god: Maglubiyet

Salient Divine Abilities: from what i understand, he has 21 SDAs. here are some common ones to consider, give suggestions on additional ones:

Alter Reality, Alter Size, Avatar, Banestrike (gnomes and/or dwarves), Battlesense, Control Creatures (goblinoids), Divine Blast, Divine Shield, Extra Domain (Law, right?), Hand of Death, Mass Divine Blast, Wound Enemy

also, we might want to give him his death throes power (10 HD fireball, centered on himself) as a unique salient ability?

Domain Powers: Cast evil spells at +1 caster level; cast law spells at +1 caster level.

the Trickery domain gives him Bluff, Disguise, and Hide as class skills, so he might as well have those skills.

the War doman gives him Weapon Focus (battleaxe) for free, so that actually gives him an extra feat (see above post, so choose 8 more feats instead of 7).

next, we figure out his spell-like abilities and sorcerer spells...

goblin lord

Since Archeron is LE, it would make sense for Mags to be the same alignment. Also i suggest giving him access to the Evil, Law, Trickery, and War domains.
About his size, he's basically a (size) large goblin.

This sounds about how I always pictured him. and add my vote (for what its worth) to make him LE.:D

Of course he gets the +4 bonus to move silently, he is a goblin after all... :D

For the additional skills:

Disable Device, Disguise, Escape Artist, Open Lock, and Pick Pocket. (are a must)

Which leaves him with 5 more, which should be (IMHO):

Alchemy, Balance, Craft (Armor smithing), Craft (weapon smithing), and Knowledge (Architecture and Engineering).

Other than that I agree with you completely.

Well, we could always give him a giant worg mount with a divine rank of 0. :D So yeah, in that case he would benefit from those skills and bonuses.

As for the feats and SDA's I haven't got a bunny of an idea, although he would benifit from being able to summon goblins/hobgoblins.

goblin lord

kepp in mind that he is the 1 armed man in a land where the men have no arms. by that I mean he is the Goblin lord and those creatures are notorious for there lack of courage. to a lesser degree he would be the same way. I see no problem with a worg mount (celestial/demonic or devine) - ok it wouldnt be celestial but you get the idea. the summoning thing I have been thinking about and here is what I have come up with.

summon goblinoid feat:
allows you to swap any summoning spell for a summon goblinoid spell insted (you get goblins etc. instead of the stuff on the regular list - higher summon spells = better goblinoids) in addition any summon spell that is lower then what you are capable of casting yields extra goblins per caster level difference (I was thinking 2 per level so higher level casters can summon a small horde) I feel this fits in more with their tactics and mentality of more=better.

how does this sound for feats, then? :)

Blind-Fight, Cleave, Combat Reflexes, Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Divine Might, Dodge, Empower Spell, Endurance, Expertise, Great Cleave, Great Fortitude, Improved Bull Rush, Improved Critical (battleaxe), Improved Disarm, Improved Initiative, Improved Trip, Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Mobility, Mounted Combat, Power Attack, Quicken Spell, Spell Penetration, Spring Attack, Still Spell, Sunder, Superior Expertise, Weapon Focus (battleaxe), Weapon Specializaion (battleaxe), Whirlwind Attack

Just as long as you give him a giant worg mount it's fine with me :D

AS for SDA's here is a few I think he should have:

Avatar
Banestrike (Humanoids (Elves or Orcs)
Call Creatures (Goblinoids)
Divine Weapon Focus
Divine Weapon Specialization.

There are probably more, but Hey, it's a start, right?

it seems that i lost very little, thanks. :)

so, does "call creatures" take care of summoning goblins? :)

as far as more salient divine abilities, should we consider the following passage from Monster Mythology?
"The avatar can project burning hands for 16hp damage 1/turn, haste himself 1/day, and speak an unholy word 1/day. If the avatar is slain, the body explodes as a 10HD fireball."

i think the unholy word is covered by having blasphemy as a spell-like ability. any way we can/should give him burning hands and haste as powers - besides normal spellcasting abilities? and i think the fireball death throes is a must to keep - probably as an SDA.

Yes, the call ability does take care of his 'goblin summoning' ability, we just specify in his description what type of creatures he can summon, note that no creature he summons can have more HD that his divine rank, and that he cannot summon more than a number of creatures equal to his divine rank, for example, if he is a rank 16 deity he can summon up a goblin of up to 16 HD, and a number of goblins that do not exceed the number 16. And I'm pretty sure, that if he felt like it all those goblins would be 16HD goblins :p.

As for the other stuff, I don't know. I suggest you read through the SDA chapter of Deities and Demigods for that.
