Good adventure for level 6-8 PCs set in the desert

First Post
I'm looking for an adventure that is not too world-specific - set in a desert and for PCs in the level 6-8 range. This is for 3.5E

Any ideas?

And, is there a place I can search myself for something like this? Sort various adventures by level, and possibly by setting (desert vs jungle vs city vs dungeon-crawl vs etc) or anything else?

You could try the adventure Mysterious Ways from Issue 86 of Dungeon Magazine. It's for a level 7 party and is set during the Crusades in what is now Israel and Jordan, but it's pretty easy to convert into a fantasy setting, and it's pretty desert like. It's 3.0, of course, if that's a problem, but there isn't usually too much difference. I played in this and had a lot of fun... it's also from one of my favorite issues of Dungeon.

I'd recommend Wolfgang Baur's Open Design project. He just finished a desert adventure that's in that level range. Here's the link: http://wolfgangbaur.com/opendesign/

Another item is Necromancer's Mesopotamia book. The first third of the book can be thrown out, but the rest of it has a great series of desert adventures that start about 7th level.

I3: Pyramid

.pdf's should be available from the usual sources.

I have a 3.0 conversion which should be usable for 3.5 available in EnWorld's conversion forum. Adapt as needed. In particular, I'd change the weak hook of a local lord forcing them on a desert expedition to suit the needs of your campaign. Since it sounds like you've already got your party into the desert, this should be easy.

I own Gary Gygax's Necropolis from Necro Games. It has a lot of flavor and setting stuff, plus some good NPCs, but the weakest traps I have ever seen in a published adventure for this level. I mean 1d6 fire for a CR 7 trap? Seriously.......

Looks promising, but it's no longer available to the public unless you shell out $75 to be a patron.

I'm not big into traps and the like, but I do like flavor

I'll second the 1e AD&D Desert of Desolation series (I3 Pharaoh, I4 Oasis of the White Palm and I5 Lost Tomb of Martek, also compiled into a single mega-module) - a fantasy desert saga with loose inspiration from Egyptian and Arabian lore. A bit mad in places, but lots of fun. Paizo's Entombed with the Pharaohs is very good. Necropolis, as mentioned above, is probably too high level for you, but its web-enhancement Set's Daughters (free download at Necromancer Games' website) might be useful. Also check out Hamunaptra from Green Ronin - a whole boxed set dedicated to a fantasy Egypt!
