Good movies that have bad DVDs?

I can skip the trailers without any trouble at all. Those don't bother me as much as the ones that you CAN'T skip.

Only problem with the Batman Begins DVD is the apparent lack of a commentary.

Same thing when I got my copy of "American Wedding: Unrated" about two years ago.

Another crappy directors cut, Army of Darkness. There are a few changes, most noticably, "Good, Bad, I'm the guy with the gun" is NOT ON THE FREAKIN DIRECTORS CUT. I have never watched it since. Sure it has all the ending but that scene is not there at all.

Mine's worse, although that's pretty egregious. I have the "Official Bootleg Edition" (there's like a dozen different versions of AoD - collect 'em all!) which has the alternate "Rip Van Winkle" ending, with the original ending completely expunged. This alternate ending would be fine and all as a bonus feature, but it pales in comparison to the original ending in the S-Mart. Also, the transfer wasn't great. Did have a good commentary with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell though.

Hmmm, of the ones I own I think Panic Room is the worst. It is a Superbit transfer, and looks fantastic, but otherwise it has nothing on it. I found it to be pretty decent and was disappointed at the lack of bonus content. Especially when you compare them to the more than excellent treatments that Se7en and Fight Club received.
Well, that's what happens when you get a Superbit disc. Basically, they've encoded the audio and video with higher bitrates, so you get better quality sound & video. However, that means the movie itself takes up more space on the disc, which leaves you less space for extras.

Thus, if you want extras, you need to pick up the regular edition. If you want the best possible transfer on DVD, you go for the Superbit disc.
