No problem, Dave. Hopefully it will convince some people that its worth the price.

This coming from someone who is shelling out 120 for Ptolus and 70 for DCC World. The old pocketbook is going to be tight in August!

I am actually running two games now. One in Ptolus one weekend and one in DCC the next. Two very different worlds, but both alot of fun in their own right.

I know Necromancer Games had trouble with their similarly priced Wilderlands. It is a great set, I own it and love it. But my understanding is that broke even and they still have copies sitting in the warehouse.

They can't have too many copies still in the warehouse, becasue they needed to sell almost every copy in order to break even on it. They were never expecting to make a profit on Wilderlands.

I also pre-ordered Ptolus, but i'm a sucker for high quality game settings. And rpg materials in general. This boxed set looks really cool to me, especially that faded-out players map. That oozes with "Unexplored Mysteries."

Not a bad price considering it is a box set, has posters and whatnot. The goodman name is pretty trustable. It is still outside of what I'd pay, but my gaming budget does not have that much room for it..

If this was written with a similar feel and tone as the Known World, It would make great fodder for dropping things into Davinia and Skothar (or wholesale replacing those continents). No reason a part of the Northlands couldn't be the Hinterlands of Mystara and the rest of it be the DCC.

I like it. If I come into some money I'll seriously consider looking into it.

Neat! Here's to hoping it comes quickly to pdf! I'll definitely want to take a look at that. I hope they make some suggestions as to how to string the DCCs together in a campaign as well.

I'll keep an eye out for it - it sounds good, and if it gets good enough reviews I might pick it up and run a campaign off of it.
