Or Firefox with Adblock Plus! (wait... there's a Google Ad at gleemax? I'd have never known!).Whizbang Dustyboots said:...who seem to think it's still 1998 and no one has a pop-up blocker.
Are you using Adblock Plus? If you don't use it, install it ASAP, it's great (though some hate it)! AFAIK, the included filter subscription includes filtering google ads.helium3 said:uhhh . . . I'm running Firefox and I can still see a whole bar of google ads running down the right side of the gleemax window. Is there some setting I should be toggling to make that go away?
It is so awkward when the ad guys come by my office and I have to white list the corporate site and reenable all the ads. Between Adblock Plus and ScriptBlocker, I barely recognize my company's site as it's "intended" to be. (And yes, I'm OK with subscription content as a result, because I know they have to make their revenue somewhere.)Lord Tirian said:Or Firefox with Adblock Plus! I would expect the ads to disappear once we start paying for DDI, but for now, they're hardly noticeable.helium3 said:Does anyone know why Gleemax comes with a Google Ad-sense side-bar?
