GP to Wealth DCs

Start by figuring out what the dollar value is (1 gp = $20, IIRC), then convert it per the chart in the d20 modern core book.

Well, there's no hard-and-fast gp-$ conversion, either. I worked it out to around $4.50/gp, but given the wildly crazy D&D economy that can't be consistent. You might start from yearly wages to get a good Wealth/GP conversion, or you might find it easier to convert from the Trade Units in D20 Apocalypse.

I'd go with the GT suggestion and just base the Wealth DCs not on a real-world/real-economy scale but on what the base "currency unit" is going to be for the players.

I.E. in D&D the nominal base currency unit is the Silver Piece ... but adventurers stop dealing in Silver Pieces before their first level is over. It's all about the Gold Piece. So if you make your base silver, or even 1/4 of a GP, then you're just inflating the usual DCs and Wealth Bonuses you're going to be working with.

I'd just go for a 1:1 Dollar To GP conversion.

After some examination, True 20 (what I am using) simply multiplies the GP by 10, changes to $ and then uses the D20 Modern chart.

Thanks all for your help.
