Grapples, Prayer Spells and Iterative Attacks

Barring that, Haste, is always a good choice here, since it gives you an extra attack (which can be used as a grapple check) at full BAB.

Depending on how strict your DM is, Haste may not help you make an extra grapple attack, unarmed strike, attack with natural weapons or armor spike attack because the exact wording of the Haste spell says, "When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with any weapon he is holding."

Well, you're not holding any of those weapons.

In fact, because of that wording, when hurling weapons, you won't get to throw an extra shuriken (or dagger with Quickdraw or whatever) because after you've thrown your first weapon, you're no longer holding a weapon to make that extra attack.

But Haste does give a +1 unnamed bonus to attack rolls, so at least that's something.

Just read the PH rules and treat a grapple check like a melee attack roll with a different size modifier. All the usual things that apply to melee attacks should also apply to grapple checks, including double damage on Spirited Charge.

Ha! Double damage on a Spirited Charge. Priceless.

I wonder if the monk would beat my character up if I pointed this rule out at the table....
