In addition to the Nocturnals, we've already announced an agreement with Archangel Studios to do a d20 campaign setting book based on their amazing Red Star comic.

Fantastic! Will the super-talented Christian Gossett be illustrating all the artwork in this book? If so, I will definitely be picking this one up. I loved his work in "Dramatis Personae: Campaign Ready NPCs".

Oh yeah, the book will be chock full of Christian's gorgeous art. That's why we just have to do this one in color.

Love Green Ronin, its amazing how many of my Christmas presents were from GR. Any chance on a little more of blurb about Blue Rose or "romantic fantasy"? Swashbuckling? Gothic Adventure?

Sure, here's the sales blurb we will be putting up on our website soon:

Blue Rose is a roleplaying game of romantic fantasy, inspired by novelists like Mercedes Lackey, Diane Duane, and Tamora Pierce. The game focuses on heroic and good-hearted characters working together to defend the enlightened kingdom of Aldis from harm. Most characters have at least minor psychic powers and some have intelligent magical animals as their devoted allies. Blue Rose has everything players need to get started, including complete rules for character creation, social interactions, reputations and psychic powers. The game also uses the innovative damage mechanic from Green Ronin’s hit Mutants & Masterminds RPG. The forthcoming Blue Rose Companion will provide expanded setting information, monstrous foes, magic items, and live action rules.

Blue Rose uses Wizards of the Coast’s Open Game License.

[Reposted from www.greenronin.com]We also recently inked a deal for a literary license that is very exciting. This is a series of fantasy novels I started reading in 1984, and I couldn't be happier to be bringing the setting into the RPG world. Look for an official announcement later this month.

I can only hope that this announcement includes the words "Stephen", "Brust's", and "Dragaera".

The first novel of which was published in late 1983.

We'll be rounding out our roleplaying lines with several licensed game books. Hmm...a literary license. This is a guess out of the blue, but Raymond Feist's Riftwar series began with Magician: Apprentice in 1982. I know that the people at Midkemia Press have said they were in discussions to have an RPG developed....

Maybe that's Green Ronin's new game.

If so, that would be very cool :)

Betrayal at Krondor was actually based on the computer game, which was based on previous novels. :)

Well, I suppose it could be anything, but I wouldn't be surprized if it was Midkemia. In fact, I would be more surprized if it wasn't.
When I first read Death in Freeport I noticed 1) Cthulhuesque and 2) Midkemia-esque (uhm... well, you know what I mean). A town called 'Freeport', founded by pirates was familiar from 'Rise of a Merchant Prince'. And there were some other things, like the use of serpent people.
Could be purely coincidental of course, but it could also be that mr. Pramas has been reading Feist since 1984. :D
I surely hope so. :)

If Midkemia was an influence on Freeport, it must be magic as I've never read the series. My biggest influence was probably Shadows Over Bogenhafen for WFRP, still the best city adventure ever published in my opinion.

Damn you!

Capellan moves Blue Rose from the 'probable purchase' list to the 'will kill to own a copy' list. :D

So coincidence it is.
Ah well... whatever it is, I'll probably buy it anyway. :)
