A BOXED SET?!?! Darn it, how will I EVER HAVE A RETIREMENT FUND at this rate? ;)

Looks nice, guys. I may buy it JUST for the idea of supporting a boxed set alone!!!

Congratulations, Ari. You, Steve, Chris, and C.A. had me at "Hamunoptera."

You had me at "Hamunoptera."

FFG is releasing Fury of Shadow box set for the Midnight Campaign Setting, later in the year I think.

That's right - I remember seeing that item on gaming report a few weeks back.

I want that one too. :)

Hmm, to find a spot on desk for that. Always had a weakness for boxed sets... not sure why. Hamunaptra will fit perfectly in my plans I do think. Must keep secret. Can't tell players. :)

I often wonder when people type LOL, if they actually LOL. Good god Henry, I actually LOL'd. Good Job.

What is the big fad with boxed sets this year?

So far:

This set
The Wilderlands of High Fantasy
the D&D Basic Set
Hall of Many Panes (a Gygax adventure from Troll Lord)
FFG's Fury of Shadow

BTW, the first boxed set in the 3e era would be the D&D Adventure set, I suppose.

Man, I hate it when Gaming Report scoops us on our own releases. We had planned to announce this in a week or so when the actual cover was done.

Anyway, glad folks are excited. I love boxed sets and I've wanted to do one for a long time. We are finalizing the component list at the moment, but it ought to at least include a poster map of the setting on top of the three books.
