[GRIM TALES] For GT regulars: Have you read Slavelords?

I am in eastern standard time. I can post once a day during the week. I'm on a fast connection. I'm pretty enthusiastic.

If I qualify, great. But if someone else scores higher and is uber-committed, I can just spectate. I'll let Wulf decide. He did write the thing, after all.

No problem, I already counted you in. Head on over to the other thread and post a character.

Eric, I'll add you to my (growing) list of NPC stand-ins and co-conspirators.

Hehe, Yes! I've always wanted to be in a conspiracy!

Perhaps those of you who are "alternates" would like to adopt some of the major bad guy roles and, although using in-character knowledge only, try to think "outside the box" to help me plan alternate reactions and keep the players guessing.

This sort of role wouldn't require a lot of dedicated thread watching, but it would require a good knowledge of the adventure and the willingness to participate when called.

slavelords

Wow, I love this book...it taught me more about making a d20 campaign than anything I've read, and I can't wait to run it.

How sad that it didn't sell! I'd say it's a testament to the state of the industry, rather than the quality of the book.

Just for reference, I've read the book from front to back. I still wish to make sweet, sweet love to it -- I think it's that good.

Now, if we all concentrate hard enough, we can scour that mental image from our psyches forever.

As one of its co-authors, I'm not really sure how to respond to that.

I would be hard-pressed to think of a more worthy mate for my baby than piratecat, I guess?

:( I've been a little busy lately, what with packing to move this weekend.

Too bad I didn't get in on the ground floor. :) I'll probably keep an eye on the game, though, as I love GT but never really 'went' for Slavelords.

The psionic-tentacle-monsters angle sort of turned me off of it, I think. Very Barsoomy-feeling, and techno-sci-fi-magical almost, which isn't my major realm of interest.

:) Had it been a high-flying airship adventure, well, that would have saved me alot of prep work over the last year.

No, no, wait... hang on... speak for yourself. I'm still savoring it.

Still...

Savoring...
