[GRIM TALES] For GT regulars: Have you read Slavelords?

Okay, here's how things stand now. I've ranked folks below on my Boolean system-- but there are a few more things I want to account for.

a) Add 1 point if you are on a high speed connection
b) Add 1 point if you are within 6 hours of EST.
c) Add 1 point if you are able to post at least once a day (during the week).
d) Add 1 point if you would consider your level of enthusiasm "very strong."

(Obviously I can't account for the consequences if I run a crappy game, but I would like to avoid folks making a committment to play and then dropping out. So if you think you might flake out, don't give yourself this point. Be honest; nobody likes a flake. ;))

Old One (2)(3)=(5)
Solomoncane (2)(3)=(5)

Ragboy (1)(4)=(5)
Fenris (1)
Hjorimir (1)(4)=(5)

nakia (0)

If you're listed above, I have a preliminary reservation for you; please reply back and let me know how you score on abcd above.

I'll be looking for more responses through the end of the day.

Here's hoping this thread escapes the notice of the moderators and doesn't get moved to the instant obscurity of the PbP forums...

Fenris:

Yep a) Add 1 point if you are on a high speed connection
Yep b) Add 1 point if you are within 6 hours of EST.
Yep c) Add 1 point if you are able to post at least once a day (during the week).
Yep d) Add 1 point if you would consider your level of enthusiasm "very strong."

I would say that one the weekends once a day is OK, more during the week. That puts me at 5 points. Do I get bonus points for owning multiple copies of Grim Tales ;)

And I warming up the lobotomizer to erase anything I may have read of SLoC.

I am giddy with excitement :D

I'm curious to know who among the forum regulars here have read Slavelords-- and perhaps to what "depth" they've done so.
Dunno how regular I qualify as, but I bought Slavelords the same day I bought Grim Tales from my FLGS a few months ago. I've read it pretty thoroughly with intent to run it for a game group I play in right now, hoping to get them all to give Grim Tales a try as well. I even bought a second copy of Grim Tales in case some of the players don't want to spend the cash on a system they may not be fond of.

Actually, last I checked there are still four copies of Slavelords on my FLGS's shelves (but they have sold out of their Grim Tales copies, FWIW).

I'm pretty well familiar with Slavelords ;) , so that throws me wayyy out real fast.

But if you'd like some help from a non-player I would be interested.....

I'm sure there's going to be room for some additional plot maneuvering, given that at least a couple of players have copped to reading at least Book One.

So... stay tuned to the thread?

Eric-- I can't tell if your post is throwing your hat into the ring for playing or not.

Well, I fit each of the qualifications perfectly, and I'd love to play it as what I have read of it is enticing. I'm going to have to keep my hat out of the ring however because in the not to distant future my ability to participate in much more RPGing is going to be constricted. So, to be more clear, to my great regret, I'm not in. :(

Hey...no fair having this thread without me...<glare>

I score 1 pt each on a,b,c,d.....

But, I did read Slavelords when I got my copy. Never gotten a chance to run it, though, so I'm not intimately familiar with the details. I'd love to play if you've still got a slot. If not, I'd also be happy to play any major NPCs.

We'll tentatively count nakia as our 6th.

Here is the character generation thread:

I expect some amount of pre-game player collusion to "ensure the optimum mix of characters."

Fine.

It won't help.

I am in eastern standard time. I can post once a day during the week. I'm on a fast connection. I'm pretty enthusiastic.

If I qualify, great. But if someone else scores higher and is uber-committed, I can just spectate. I'll let Wulf decide. He did write the thing, after all.
