Gross, Horrible Story

Great post, Now I know why I enjoy visiting EN World, good people, good jokes IE this thread, and fantastic ideas. It motivates me to get my ass in gear and start contributing to story hour, Rogues gallery and so.

If this was a Wargaming forum, all the threads would be flame wars.

Wow, I need to play in more games with wishes.

The closest thing we had was fighting a Big Bad, who had nearly slaughtered one of the characters, when he tossed back a healing potion. So, he wished that the PC hadn't done that. And thus, the PC was back to very injured. And the potion wasn't drank. So, he drank it again, to no net loss, and the Baddie wasted a wish spell.

None of us have been in a game where we had a wizard high enough level to cast Wish. So we haven't seen the results firsthand about a badly-worded wish...... I'm sure half my DMs are dreaming of that moment......

Of course the first thing any wizard should use his wish spell for?

"I wish that whoever ran this universe wasn't such a jerk about wish spells"

I has a player once who acquired a wish....and should have given more thought to the wording of his wish.

He wished that "Nothing can touch me". His intent was to be immune to weapon blows.... what he got was a slow death since he couldn't touch either water or food.

Another group I played with, hearing such tales, got a wish and decided to contemplate the wish between sessions. What I got the next session was a bloody 23 page legal document.
The wish itself (not overly complex) was maybe a 1/4 page. The other 22 3/4 pages was text to close every possible loophole with rider clause after rider clause. And it read like it was written by a cabal of lawyers to boot....
